Re: Some help or advice requested

(...) Yes, there are quite a few possible variations on this mechanism. There is even at least one in an official model: (URL) Hope you get it working. I always like a purely mechnical solution :) (15 years ago, 3-Feb-10, to lugnet.technic)

  Strong smoke smell on parts

I recently got an order from Bricklink, from a store in Germany, and when it arrived it smelled very strongly of smoke. I've been trying to find solutions to cleaning them that will be satisfactory. Some sites say sealing items in a container with a (...) (15 years ago, 2-Feb-10, to lugnet.general)

Re: Some help or advice requested

(...) Hmm, I had dabbled with a similar solution, but inverted (with the motor driving the bottom gear and the two side gears the two outputs, but discarded it for reasons that escape me at the moment. I must investigate this further. Thanks! Owen. (15 years ago, 2-Feb-10, to lugnet.technic)

Crushed box specials at Legoland California

Legoland CA has a small selection of "crushed box" discounts at 15% off at the Big Shop - about 10 or so varied sets. I didn't inquire if the 10% member discount also applies. Incidentally, the New Year's brick is presently "lost at sea", so not (...) (15 years ago, 1-Feb-10, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Some help or advice requested

Here is yet another possible solution that I have found effective for something very similar (a vehicle that reverses its direction when it hits an obstacle). This one is purely mechanical (no electrical switch needed). (2 URLs) The mechanism relies (...) (15 years ago, 31-Jan-10, to lugnet.technic)

Re: What's going on with 59443.dat?

(...) Yes, Philo is right. We try to release modifications/improvements to related official parts in the same parts update. That is one reason why some Certfied files get left on the Parts Tracker at each update. Chris (15 years ago, 31-Jan-10, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LEGO's Internal colour palette

  Dungeon Delver: That Frog...

Well, I've been working with MLCad and LDView for a few weeks now. Back to it from years back... Spent some time today to buld this little scene.   Re: LEGO's Internal colour palette

(...) Don't burn out your brain trying to figure out how they came up with the official color names. All that is required is to understand that there's some _serious_ disparity between their names and ours. For instance: They call it Brick Yellow. (...) (15 years ago, 30-Jan-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LEGO's Internal colour palette
