Re: New models of Semi Trucks etc.

(...) The fact that I agree with you about current quality level does not in any way disprove my thesis. If you actually understood the scientific method instead of cheering sproat when he takes pot shots at it, you'd have a better chance of doing (...)   Opera Software's browser (was: Re: MSIE5 security hole)

(...) Hmm, there must be a way to turn off MDI. (But I didn't find one.) Mike? I do like the URL being at the bottom of the page rather than the top... :) But egad, just in the first 5 minutes I've noticed a couple really horrible flaws... Like, for (...)   Re: Baseball mini-figs?

(...) These are all good questions. Now the Red Sox passed this out as a promotion. Does that mean it had to be MLB licensed? I don't know. The Mini-fig is stamped in all the appropriate places with the raised LEGO print. I guess that the RED SOX (...) (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Handy Board software

take a look at Ray's Robotic Computer. i have a url somewhere. This dude makes a 68HC11 mini board in modules from his basement. Completely assembled and tested versions too. I found him through altavista a couple of times +breiler (...) (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: My unfairness vs. profiteering dilemma

Todd posted some good ideas but what you did was fine too. I've spoken out in the past about various types of auctions being "better" for the seller or for the buyer or the community but in the final analysis it's your stuff, you can sell it off as (...)   Re: Baseball mini-figs?

So, is it an official MLB licensed product, an official TLG produced product? Anyone go to any other stadiums and see any indication there may be more? not that I want to build a stadium (see GMLTC, it's been done) but people wear these jerseys out (...)   Re: Southern Legofest, Dolphins and Richard Franks (!)

(...) Well if it's any help, I'm definitely intending to have a camera with me. And if noone objects I'm sure a few of the pictures will find their way onto my website... (I wouldn't be surprised if others had similar intentions) Simon (URL) (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: New models of Semi Trucks etc.

Lego reuses good ideas. The Maersk set sleeper cab is also 5 wide. Also, I believe one of my favorite tow trucks has a 5 wide equipment bed: (URL) recall getting a bunch of these when S@H was blowing them out in early 1998. Aspiring builders of 5 (...)   Re: MSIE5 security hole

(...) Yeah, it is fairly retro. (...) Nah, don't have time to play much anymore. That's why I've removed everything but 95/98/NT from my machines at home and at work. (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.publish)

  Re: MSIE5 security hole

(...) Yeah, ok. That's why every single point version since 4.5 has crashed on me multiple times within the first day of use, leading ultimately do its removal from my system. (...) Yup. Fast. (...) Makes no difference to me. I just want something (...) (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.publish)

Re: My unfairness vs. profiteering dilemma

(...) Some alternatives: - Let a third-party auction the set on your behalf (for some pre-agreed upon commission, either fixed or a percentage). Let them worry about all the details of the auction and take all the flak, if any. - Sell the set (...) (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: MSIE5 security hole

(...) Yeahwell, Netscape has acted like a clogged toilet too, some times. But at least they've always worked hard to clear it out rather than stop it up more. :) (...) Hmm, sounds interesting. www.opera.com? I'll give it a try for a few days... (...) (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.publish)

  Idea for box tracking

Mookie It would be great if the Jambalaya page on your site included the history of each box. Simply add to each name, the date they received the box and the date they sent to box on to the next recipient. People could report the status/location (...)   Southern Legofest, Dolphins and Richard Franks (!)

Three things, all a bit unrelated but I'm in a rush (again)... I won't be able to make it to the Southern legofest so I would like to wish all of you an excellent time for all things Lego-y and continue wondering what you look like. (And good luck (...) (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Kevin Baker <kevin.baker@racalitsec.com> wrote in message news:FHFJEF.7K2@lugnet.com... (...) I think the RCX uses the supply with the highest voltage. It doesn't actually disconnect the batteries. If it did, the RCX would go dead when you unplug (...) (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: MSIE5 security hole

(...) Man, I hate their user inteface. Very clumsy, ugly, and Windows 3.0-era. (MDI? Ugh.) Have you looked at any of the recent Mozilla devel milestones? It's obviously still pre-alpha, but coming along really nicely. (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.publish)

  My unfairness vs. profiteering dilemma

I suspect I upset some people with the way I handled the sale of the glued-together 7725 I found. Although I have not seen direct flameage, there has been some innuendo on recent 'what is an auction' threads. So, I apologise if I caused offence, but (...)   Re: Redesigned website finally online!

Waaaay cool, Bram. The frame menu on the left looks fantastic, too! My personal fave is the X-oid mech, he looks great - but are there some pics of him from different angles? I'm surprised, I expected a blue-and-yellow Space colour scheme to look (...) (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)
