Re: Why do you love bley?

(...) Like rain on your wedding day. (...) That's cool. People believe all kinds of outlandish stuff. (...) I think, and I could be wrong, the point was that your 'theory' only makes sense if the Lego is actually on display, and even if it was, the (...) (19 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: Mark's Pad

Thanks Bruce! I'll probably spent ages apologizing for the coffee table, everyone who saw it in person disliked it as well. I'm taking it as one of those builder's perks ; ) ... I like it and have had the idea kicking around ever since I got the (...) (19 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: New Building UPDATE

I'm so impressed with what you can do with PAB! This is a really well thought out design to use so few pieces to accomplish so much. Good work! God Bless, Nathan (URL) (19 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Why do you love bley?

(...) And I think this argument is crap. I'd be incredibly surprised if the new bley colors in display pieces made any more than a tiny fraction of a percentage difference in parental purchasing (and probably none at all when a child decides). (...) (19 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: The Cruella d'Villa

I also like how your villa has that classic 1970's set feel with the arches and tile walkway. I do have a couple of suggestions about your pictures. Please resize them to be around 1000x750 or 800x600 pixels. If your pictures load faster, more (...) (19 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Possible new Lego tub?...but odd choice of contents

(...) WHAT!!!!??? First they introduce flesh colour ruining years of yellow minifigs and now they CHANGE FLESH!!!! The old flesh wasn't my favourite colour but at least it was warm like the rest of the colour pallette (except bley and dark bley) but (...) (19 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: MOC: ZombieTron "Just when you thought it was safe to put on a pressure suit!"

Really funny MOC. The big blood tank is especially effective, and I like the use of legs in the railings a lot. Btw, you misspelled the link. (URL) Here is the proper link.> Bruce (19 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.space, lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

Re: Why do you love bley?

(...) Who can argue with evidence this compelling? (...) Ah, the ol' Burden of Proof Switcheroo. Ballsy. (...) That, or the insanely flourescent lights in his house. (...) Hmmm... Interesting, (...) That's a long way up, but I'm sure Toy'r'Us know (...) (19 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Why do you love bley?

(...) So basically your entire argument isn't based on any sort of colour theory but your own opinion. Why then, did you try to bring up a theory you could neither provide evidence for or even discuss? (...) I don't need to prove anything. My (...) (19 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Beware, brave spacefarers! The unforgiving vacuum of space hides even more unforgiving ZOMBIES!! (URL) Enjoy with sweetbreads! Dave S. (19 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.space, lugnet.adventurers, FTX) !!

Re: Informations on new TECHNIC element and color coded parts

(...) Oh God, please tell me this is just another bad joke. There comes a point where you just have to say 'sorry, but if you're too stupid to be able to compare a gear with a perfectly clear design illustration then you should probably just stick (...)   Re: Why do you love bley?

(...) I never said there was anything wrong with liking them, just that they don't match well with tan because tan is a warm color while the bleys are unusually cool for a LEGO color. Although, given the abundance of shades and tints used in your (...) (19 years ago, 10-May-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Why do you love bley?

(...) It has been a few years since I was actively working in theatrical lighting, I don't have ready access to my lighting design texts, I don't have the color temperature chart memorized, and I don't have access to any type of spectroscope. I (...) (19 years ago, 10-May-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Color filters (was: Why do you love bley?)

(...) Try using a blacklight (the flourescent variety, as the incandescent types barely produce any UV). TNG lights up very brightly, while trans-yellow is just trans-yellow (unless it's the original Toa eyestalk or Kaukau mask, which are actually a (...)   Re: Why do you love bley?

(...) I fully understand the concept of contrasting cool/warm tones. It's one of the first things I was taught regarding theatrical lighting design (though heavily weighted with the idea that you use a strong color for the primary lights, with a (...)   Re: New Building UPDATE

UPDATE: Ok so here are a few more pictures to feast on. As you can see I have the roof done and the lobby started. I plan to fill the windows with displays. I have some more columns coming to finish the top floor. I am really loving this building (...) (19 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: The Quantum Super Thunder Galactic Robo Fighter: Atomictron 7

I love the posable fingers! It has a great retro vibe to it. Well done, Jaimie - even though I couldn't say its entire name in one breath: 'Quantum Super Thunder Galactic Robo Fighter: Atomictron 7©®'. Do you mind if I just call it the (...)
