  Re: Brickworld Registration OPEN

(...) Hello everyone. Janey asks a good question. And, while we haven't set an official cutoff date, let's tentatively say it is May 31st. This leaves time to make sure everyone gets their engraved name badge and that table allocations aren't going (...) (19 years ago, 12-Apr-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, FTX)

  Re: Another New NXT Utility

(...) Inserting buttons into the UI command stream for the UI module to process is extremely simple. A completely different approach is required while the VM is executing a program. When a program is running you might be able to write to the Button (...) (19 years ago, 12-Apr-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

Hi Nathan, It was truly a pleasure to see this beauty at Brickfest. Words fail me when I try to describe this ship. It is truly gorgeous. Josh (19 years ago, 12-Apr-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The Blacktron II

(...) Holy moley that's cool! My first impression is that it looks like a darned big whale shark and at six feet long it probably seems about that big in person! I'm on my home dialup connection, so it would take me until the end of the universe to (...) (19 years ago, 12-Apr-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  The Blacktron II

Introducing the Blacktron II, a drop ship designed for raiding and piracy of mining settlements and colonies far from the long arm of the Space Police.   Re: Its starting to happen...

(...) I've read of things like that, particularly (URL) this>. Other than that, not much. Next time I'm in a city bus, I'll try to remember to look at the ceiling to see if it's blay.   Re: Space Complete! At the Classic Space Fly In...

WOW! Fantastic! Kudos to all! This is the most amazing collection of Lego space I have ever seen! If I had known this was going to be at the Brickfest (and if the Brickfest was held on any other weekend) I surely would have made the trip. Four years (...)   Re: Toronto Toy, Train and Doll Collectors' Show - April 22

(...) man, those are skinny tables! my house is kinda wide and won't fit on 2 feet, can we arrange them so it will? it's going to be at least 3.5 x 3.5 feet, but the landscaping isn't complete yet, so i'm not too sure. but it's definitely already (...)   Chinese pagoda

I constructed this microscale Chinese pagoda as a centerpiece for a dinner party (for 25!) that we hosted two weeks ago. It isn't accurate to any specific pagoda, but is broadly based on some of the techniques and styles I observed in some source (...)   Re: Another New NXT Utility

(...) Wow! I wish I had that power with everyone! A couple of issues though: 1. The buttons don't work inside programs :( (well not my programs anyway); 2. When I switch the NXT off while running NeXTscreen, garbage is displayed. It'd be nice if it (...) (19 years ago, 11-Apr-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Re: Honolulu Chinatown building MOC

(...) Jonathan, Thanks! I have to say that your NY buildings are fantastic - I grew up there and my family is still there, so they are extra special! I agree that tiles might work better. I will try some different arrangements to see how they work; (...) (19 years ago, 11-Apr-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Another New NXT Utility

(...) I have replaced the zips (test_release.zip and nextscreen.zip) with new versions which add support for saving .png images.   Re: Another New NXT Utility

(...) I would vote for .gif or .png support, both of which are lossless for the monochrome NXT display. JPG is lossy even in monochrome. Thanks again for the great utility. Dave (19 years ago, 11-Apr-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Re: Displays at Fests

(...) I'll link a picture from GMLTC member Bill-2 (that's one of his firetrucks!): (URL) Something like this allows people to get their noses right up next to a model, but still prevents them from picking them up. Maybe Lego still has these (...) (19 years ago, 11-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Displays at Fests

(...) Another idea might be to change the way the MOC is being presented. The biggest risk at shows I've been to is kids not understanding the toy/can-touch and display/cannot-touch difference. Stanchions and plexiglass both limit how close kids can (...) (19 years ago, 11-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)
