Hi folks,

Hey great! You have been such a shinning star in the Lego Mecha genre.
I am glad to see you and your creations continue for all these years,
thank you!

Coming up with an idea for this year's
special feature was an easy task, actually a no-brainer: the tripod,
colossal-class ARES of course! The meanest, most lethal 'Mech in the MechWarrior
universe. At 135 tons, the Ares is the first BattleMech of this class and the
product of the top-secret "Rhodes Project"*.

PFFFFFF!!!! That is pnenomenal! Excellent choice and awesome buiding techniques!

You know the brick so well, all the shapes and parts. I am very impressed!
Meanest looking Mech I have seen in some time. The Ares is trully stunning.
I love how you built it.

For everybody not familiar with the BattleTech/MechWarrior-universe or what I
generally do: my LEGO model is based on an actual click-base tabletop gaming
figure, which is less than 10 cm in height. Needless to say, the minifig-scale
LEGO version is considerably larger! 45 cm tall it more than covers a large
48x48 base plate - pretty impressive for a 'Mech, wouldn't you agree?

YES!!!!!

Anyway,
building the Ares took me 40 hours and 4.500 CAD Lego-pieces.

/humble on...

So, what did you
do over the easter holidays? ;)

I am building a big black Robo Quad. Plus I like jelly beans.

Thanks for the ref, my Technical Readouts don't have this Mech.
I guess I have been looking at Anime to much (is there such a thing?)

Again, great work and I am glad to wish Brickcommander success in the future!
