  Save the 10183 trains!

Hi, Last Saterday it arrived, my 10183. It is an awesome set with loads of parts and possibilities. But after building the crocodile (building instructions included in the box), we (my daughter, son and I) wanted to build one (or two) of the other (...)   Re: Which glue?

(...) Epoxy works like wood glue, in that it needs to permeate the surface of the materials that it is bonding in order to get anything more than a light adhesion. At my last job, when we were epoxying resin tooling board together, we'd regularly (...) (19 years ago, 6-Apr-07, to lugnet.parts.mod)

  Hillside Contruction

Hi, This Moc is designed on an actual house. I thought it was architecturally interesting and decided to build it. The house contours to the hillside more than it cantilevers out, and there is a small walk bridge to get to the front door. (...) (19 years ago, 6-Apr-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.announce.moc)

  light.dat has wrong title

The part title for light.dat is as follows: Pov-RAY Light Source (useless to give a color to it) This title is wrong. Even the L3P that's been out for years pays attention to the color, and creates a light source that matches the given color. (...) (19 years ago, 6-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: My BrickFest 2007 Pictures are posted to Brickshelf

(...) Actually, I think that it's MetallicGold (I think it's the same as in the 50th anniversary buckets). (19 years ago, 6-Apr-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Combining RC-Train and Blue Rails

(...) I am glad to see that someone has perfected the idea of using the old 12 volt track with the new R/C trains. I asked some of the train expert early on and was told it would not work. I am glad that I held onto the old 12V gray track and some (...) (19 years ago, 6-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

365-1: Wild West Scene inside box and stickers

I was going to inventory this and found out that it is mint in box with the inside boxes not opened. I have submitted the sticker sheet picture and the baseboard picture. If anyone would like to see them now just email me and I will send them on. (...) (19 years ago, 6-Apr-07, to lugnet.inv)

Re: Space Complete! At the Classic Space Fly In...

<snip> (...) Matt, BRILLIANT! I'm really enjoying the pictures of this display more than anything I've seen in a long time. As more galleries show up on Brickshelf I see new perspective on the display. It would have been worth an airline ticket from (...)   BrickFest PDX 2007 Photos Are Up!

I've finally got all the photos up on BrickShelf- (URL) to viewers- there are about 400 photos in that folder but they are all screen friendly (800x533 or 400x600). The photos are arranged by date & time taken, not by theme. Enjoy, Adrian (19 years ago, 5-Apr-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.announce)

Toronto Toy, Train and Doll Collectors' Show - April 22

Frank retired, and there was a little confusion in the organization. One phone call to Doug and he assured me that he really wants us at the show. So I'll need to know--who wants to display at the--- THE TORONTO TOY, TRAIN & DOLL COLLECTORS' SHOW (...)   Re: Combining RC-Train and Blue Rails

(...) SNIPED (...) It looks like 2 pair of jumper plates on the RC track and a pair of 1x2 plates on the old track would be even more rigid. Mat Clayson (19 years ago, 5-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Space Complete! At the Classic Space Fly In...

(...) As Tommy explained, he did the markers. They were my idea - I didn't want a big MOC card type thing to distract from the display, but I wanted some sort of marker that would identify each set. Tommy and I worked out the details, and they (...) (19 years ago, 5-Apr-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.space)

Re: Space Complete! At the Classic Space Fly In...

(...) Yeah, the 1526 is naturally a bit of a guess since all we have is box art to go from, but I think we got it pretty close (except the 4x4 radar dish fell off the front of the vehicle during shipping and since none of us knew the set very well I (...)   Re: Gig

Christopher Templin (...) An impressive little piece. I especially like the way you connected the reins. Just a recommendation, but I would add one of the black or brown briefcases as a doctor's bag. (19 years ago, 5-Apr-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Combining RC-Train and Blue Rails

(...) No problem, glad it worked. A smaller option to help secure the rails would be to move the jumper plate to the bley rails, and replace the 1x1 plate with a 1x2, attaching it to the blue rails. You should be able to use a 1x4 plate or tile to (...) (19 years ago, 5-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
