  Re: BrickFest 2007 location

(...) I'm not sure exactly where in DC Brickfest is held, but traffic on the Capitol beltway can be just as horrendous as traffic in Chicago or Atlanta. We've gotten to the point in the US where traffic just about anywhere is maddening. Houston, (...) (20 years ago, 14-Sep-06, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: Live with Joe Meno

Aw, and here I thought Joe needed a roommate. :) I'll try and tune in at 9:00 but if not will definitely listen to the archive. Very cool idea. It would be cool if you could work with some of the other podcasters (BimP, BrickNebula, others?) and (...) (20 years ago, 14-Sep-06, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: BrickFest 2007 location

(...) Well, I don't think that's necessarily the point. I think there are a few sub issues here: 1) There should only be one major Lego convention every year 2) There shouldn't be MORE major Lego conventions every year 3) BrickFest shouldn't divide (...)   Re: BrickFest 2007 location

Actually, Chicago has had a brick event for the past two years. It's called "House of Bricks" and while it isn't as highly attended as Brickfest, those who have gone have had a good time by all reports. I was involved in HoB1, but not Hob2. HoB (...)   Re: Gnah I'm afraid I've discovered a new bug :(

(...) My faith in the company is undisturbed. Quick call to the sales dept and a new NXT is in the mail. They kindly asked me to return the broken one, using their free of charge mailing service. Note that they didn't say: "Return the unit, let us (...) (20 years ago, 14-Sep-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Re: BrickFest 2007 location

(...) Clearly, it's not that easy. Or, this discussion would not be taking place. For John and his son, the best place for BrickFest is DC. For me, it would be Indy. My son(s) don't yet have an opinion, because they haven't yet made the ten hour (...) (20 years ago, 14-Sep-06, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: BrickFest 2007 location

(...) Snip I disagree. This has already happened. It's called NWBrickCon. You might of heard of it. We're into 5 years of fest activities now. About a year or so shy of BrickFest. Now there was a one time spin off of BF-PDX. Which, from my (...) (20 years ago, 14-Sep-06, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: BrickFest 2007 location

(...) I don't think having more than one BrickFest is a viable option. We need one event to plan and pool our time and resources into, and if we begin to splinter into "The DC BrickFest", "The Midwest BrickFest", and the "West Coast BrickFest", the (...)
