  Change of Addy and....Age?

Ha! I just happened to look at my profile on Lugnet and was surprised to notice my age. What surprised me is that I haven't given much thought to such things since I turned 30, and I honestly didn't know how old I was up until Lugnet of all things (...)   Galactic Communications

Greetings! Judging by the lack of activity in this group, I'd say that travel and communication over billions of miles of space certainly takes a long time. Yup. Starship: the Real Time RPG... HAHA!   Re: winch

(...) Kinda agreed... I thought it'd be a "Straight in/straight out" kinda thing. Not the "Grade-3-wind-the-ta...ctricity." But I like creative solutions. I'm curious now what Chris has up his (...)   Re: LeoCad version 0.75

(...) Try checking the "Don't allow relative snap" option in the preferences dialog, it should make things work like in the previous version. I tried to match the mouse and keyboard movement but maybe it's not very intuitive to have the directions (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

  Re: A Few Firehouses

(...) Thanks! E289/L138 is my favorite. It took a couple of attempts to get it to where it is now. The first version came out really large. It is the most recent firehouse I have built as well, though it has been built for about two years. I tried (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jun-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: A Few Firehouses

(...) Incredible work, Jonathan! I'm sitting here drooling over the realism, the amazing attention to detail and the SNOT construction methods - especially on E289/L138's firehouse. Just awesome. -Steven (20 years ago, 12-Jun-06, to lugnet.town)

Part Mods - Baseplates and Technic parts

A few part mods for the brave: I decided that buying 32x32 baseplates and cutting them in two was cheaper than buying twice as many 16x32 baseplates. The question is how to make a reliable straight cut. I've used 4x8 plates for rigidity and slider (...)   Re: New Shirts

Re: Latest track features and layout module developments

(...) Yes, it's 8mm:1ft scale. There aren't many people building to that scale with LEGO though, as 6-wide trains remain popular and require fewer bricks, with 8-wide attracting a reasonable following. My trains end up 8+ wide for British (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jun-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: winch

Maybe, I think the idea was we didn't want people to wind the rope through some complex mechanism, or tie a knot in the rope. This is leaning towards doing that. I think the rope should pull freely in either direction before the start of the (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jun-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
