Re: Jonathan Wilson's posting privileges on LUGNET

(...) posts, (...) irritating (...) I agree with VanZwieten (great AWing BTW) some kind of posting cap instead of a complete ban, at least gives him the opportunity to show a willingness at making better posts. -Ty (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  IR remote power

I've noted that the remote is as good as a tv or vcr one. Direct line of sight is not required. So why can't the tower work that well? -- Did you check the web site first?: (URL) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

In lugnet.robotics, Dennis Clark writes: <snip> (...) <snip> Has anyone with an RCX and one of these Developer kits programmed their RCX to send all 255 messages to it in "P" mode? I understand it does not have a dedicated IR interface, but perhaps (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: 6419 Paradisa Question

(...) Pray tell! I have *already* built a pink passenger train car. It is not easy, given the constraints of the elements available in pink. The whole GMLTC hates it (they hate *everything* I make;) John Gerlach says he gets a toothache just (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Re: Ideas for a RIS 2.0

(...) An ideal solution would be an RCX that included the Harris PRISM chip-set. These chips allow you to get various data speeds between 1Mbps and 11Mbps depending on options chosen. Typical range is 100-300 ft indoors and 1000-3000+ feet outdoors (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Droid Developer Kit

Hi all, I just got my DDK, and, well, I'm not really impressed. This kit is a lot like paying $60 for the "Extreme Creatures" add-on. The Micro Scout could very easily be called the Null Scout. One motor (micro motor) and one light sensor (sensitive (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: New review site going up...

(...) Hmmmmm......I Could do all that with just a faqomatic site. Then I could dish out access to people who showed promise. Or I could allow free access, and have moderators. Anyone have ideas? I could set up a working site in a day. A snazzy one (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Instructions on CD ROM?

(...) Do you have a reccomended way to pull down just boxtops and instructions? I'd be interested in wasting some of my company's T3 to get a few cd's worth of stuff? Is there a way to pull down by date entered? So I could just burn a new CD in a (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

I should clarify what I meant. :-) In the example labeled "good link" -- offsite links to URLs of that type are encouraged, and will work fine. Under the example labeled "bad (...)   Re: Jonathan Wilson's posting privileges on LUGNET

I like this idea, but maybe two messages, one in the morning one in the evening. This way it makes it easier, because you can reply to things that came in during the night, and then to things that came in during the day. I think we ought to hold off (...) [group snipped to lugnet.cad.dev] (...) That's fine with me. If people would rather have the pannier placed under Minifig (or Minifig Accessories), I'll also rotate & relocate the part, so it will sit on part #973 (minifig torso) by default. Steve (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Canada tour question

Hi Tamy, James contact me personnaly and I reply to him the same way (or I think he did that way), By the way I'm in Quebec and I thinks that some guy in the Maritime (NB, NS, IPE, NF) sign up for some boxes, so if I'm first in the north, the boxes (...)   Re: Ideas for a RIS 2.0

What I would like to see is being able to disquish between 2 or more RCXs, so basically you can have a little plattoon of robots and send one in after another or form complexe events. A while back I heard someone talking about it, assigning IPs was (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Canada tout question

That's why James was trying to talk to you, about fitting you into the tour so it didn't start in the middle someplace, Then you all could just ship it from one end to the other and everyone would have had a chance.
