8 wide? was Re: Box Cars

I hereby do admit that 8 wide CAN look good. John showed me a boxcar he has been working on, it has a FRED in the end, integrated grab iron ladders, sliding doors, separated roofwalk, and a whole bunch of other details. It looked really good. It (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

I have 2 people that will ship to Canada, I'd like to thank Frank Filz and Scott Sanburn! I'll see which one I can easily fit one of you into, since you both said you could do either box. (...) Do y'all think that the lack of a play area helped the kids be a bit more under control too? Note that I am not against the play area idea: on the contrary I'm for it. I'm just asking if it's true in your opinion. A play area might be a (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

when they say "fresh" batteries, they mean it!

I was having problem getting any comm working between the IR tower (on my Mac) and the RCX. I was using unused batteries, but the 9 volt in the IR tower was old enough that it was only providing 8.25 volts with no load. Replacing it with a brand new (...) I forgot to thank you, Richard. My local Tesco had 6 of the 1857s, so I took 4 of them. (950 pieces for £7.85 is such good value). I also noticed that they had 2 of the new road sign sets at £2.49 each, so I took those too. The blue Technic (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Get together

I'd like to have another get together in the Triangle. I can host again, or we can go someplace new. The weekends of August 20-22 or August 27-29 would be ideal, but many week nights would work also. (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral, lugnet.loc.us.nc.dur, lugnet.loc.us.nc)
