I guess you could use a light sensor, and then turn the sensor slightly left and right, to determine where the light
is sharpest. When its dark you should turn the sensor to the east and wait for the sun to raise. This might work
when the sun is in the sky, but not at night or during total eclipse. Anyway, at night you will not see the sun
anyway, and the next total eclipse is so far in the future, that you don't have to worry about it (did I hear some
one say Y2K problems?)

| I like this idea too. It would be interesting to be able to project the sun onto a wall or screen to see sun-spots etc.(if possible). And you could also use it to fade your posters/wall-paper etc., or keep the sun on your plants :) (...) Also up and (...) (25 years ago, 13-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)
