I like this idea too.

It would be interesting to be able to project the sun onto a
wall or screen to see sun-spots etc.(if possible).

And you could also use it to fade your posters/wall-paper etc.,
or keep the sun on your plants :)

;-) Great idea! This is very useful, if cultivating a plant with special
needs of sun. And you could have the RCX to spry some water on it, when it
gets too hot using the temperature sensor!

Any ideas how to track the sun trajectory using some gears and one RCX?

Watching the eclipse I had this wild idea of creating a permanent • projection of the sun in a wall in my room. B-)
Using some gears, a lens or binoculars, a sun filter and a mirror this
might be possible.

I guess you could use a light sensor, and then turn the sensor slightly • left
and right, to determine where the light
is sharpest. When its dark you should turn the sensor to the east and • wait
for the sun to raise. This might work

This has other uses too, like aiming a weapon and firing at a
light source...

Two robots, each shinig a light of some kind could search each
other out like this...

Very cool! i like this idea!
