I´m asking, because I want to have it, but what if it is too advanced? I´m
not going to use NQC or anything, I´ll use what´s in the package.
Can i still make cool things?

| It is definitely suitable for a 14 year old. In fact, I bet with looking at the examples that you can figure out NQC. If I can help at all, don't hesitate to send me questions. Not quite 14 anymore, but I still like Legos!!!! --Alan +---...--- | (...) (25 years ago, 6-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

| Tobias, Sure you can. You can start with very simple robots and programs and continue from there on. Getting started is less complicated than posting to a newsgroup ;-) I wouldn't decide now whether you are going to use NQC or not. If you really (...) (25 years ago, 6-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

| You could also look at the ROBOlab software which is way better than the standard mindstorms software. It is $25.00 without documentation or $50.00 with Docs and information can be found at (URL) robolab software can be purchased at (URL) Clark (...) (25 years ago, 6-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

| Dear Tobias, Use your will power and do NOT buy Mindstorms! Playing with the RCX is highly addictive. You start with LEGOs, and after awhile only LEGOs isn't enough, and you're off to the store to buy Technics. For awhile this satisfies your (...) (25 years ago, 6-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

| (...) It's not advanced electronics. It's easy as long as you follow the constructopedia with models and hints and the programming guide on how to programme your robots. It's not too hard as soon as you have had a Mindstorms set for a week up to a (...) (25 years ago, 7-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

| Tobias, I am 15 years old and I love mindstorms. I never really got a chance to experiment with the included software but i found that NQC was very easy to learn. I would recomend using the RCX Command Center made by Mark Overmars because that has (...) (25 years ago, 8-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)
