  Re: Striscione ITLUG

(...) Ottima idea! Sia si tratti della cassa che di una donazione, contatemi =) Saluti, Igor (che forse, dopo anni di lurking convinto, posta il suo primo msg ;) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Re: Half-timbered houses

(...) I'm not a medievalist - I'm more of an aesthetic castler (going for the look, not accuracy) - but I did take a trip to England. Most houses were either all stone, or all timber, but there were a few that were half and half. This one for (...) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.castle)

RE: Mindstorms vs. Team Challenge as starter kit?

The team challenge sets I have bought from pitsco have the ~300 parts variety. It sounds worse than it is though as the parts you really need are all there and Robolab is included. According to peeron there was an update in 2003 that has the 828 (...) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Half-timbered houses

(...) Sonnich, I know I've seen pictures of half-timbered houses in older German and French villages, they may be more common there than in Denmark. The medieval city with narrow streets and half-timbered houses overhanging the street at higher (...) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.arch)

RE: Mindstorms vs. Team Challenge as starter kit?

(...) I just brought up a page that seems to suggest the Team Challenge set has over 800 pieces. If that's correct, the parts are very close. There are some other sets that have different parts. Make sure you get something with 700+ pieces. Steve (20 years ago, 23-Nov-05, to lugnet.robotics)

RE: Mindstorms vs. Team Challenge as starter kit?

The Mindstorms kit has far more elements (718 vs 215) but most of those parts are small lego bricks (which are still nice to have). The main technic elements are roughly the same light sensors, touch sensors, etc. I am a fan of Robolab and a little (...) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Mindstorms vs. Team Challenge as starter kit?

(...) David, I'm 99% sure the "Team Challenge" kit is the same as the Mindstorms V1.0 I believe the Team Challenge kit has a 1.0 RCX, which means it has an AC power connector (can optionally run on AC) (this is good) The TC also comes in a nice (...) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Half-timbered houses

(...) it's not unheard of. (...) I think you ask an interesting question... I don't know why I do it that way, mostly because everyone else does? Most of the early CCC buildings are done that way, Dan Siskind's Blacksmith Shop set is done that way, (...) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: [rtlToronto] rtlToronto20 Draft Rules Posted

(...) No, I just wanted clarification. 16 studs on centre is fine with me. (...) I'm happy with that. (...) So you are saying there should be clearance for a EOAT to enter to at least 4 studs into the TO. But as long as my TO opening is 8 studs by 7 (...)
