  Re: LDD Help Needed

(...) Hey no fair – you guys get a documentation folder?!? There's no such thing in the Mac version. (...) Well, the mouse does a decent job of that. What I'm more concerned about is: how do I rotate a brick in anything other than 90-degree (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: And that's kicking your Class [50]...

(...) Very nice, Congrats :) (...) I do like the grill in the roof. Finally a use for the fences :) (...) Now THAT is funky! I can't wait to see this sometime. (20 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: MLCAD mirrored submodels - Help please

(...) I have seen the large one somewhere. I can't recall where though :( Another ******** of a model to do is the 8480 technic shuttle: (URL) gave up on the cables and fibre optics... :D (20 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: How to rotate a part in LDD (Mac)?

(...) Glad to know I helped. Your very welcome. e (20 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: How to rotate a part in LDD (Mac)?

(...) Oh! That's the problem. You have to do this while the part is still clinging to the mouse cursor. This whole clinging-part mode is alien to us Mac users — modes in general are considered evil here, and I keep trying to grab a piece and drag it (...)   Re: BNSF Dash 9

(...) Hi Shaggie, That render nearly fooled me. How do you get the focus in POVray. I see that your camera has a definite focal point and blurring for more distant parts. Yours, Tim (20 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

And that's kicking your Class [50]...

I've finally ventured into the realm of smelly diesels, so here's my attempt at a non-steam locomotive. It's a BR Class 50. (URL) Class 50>> Click for (URL), when moderated. This is number 50043, "Eagle", and here's a preview pic: (URL) 50 preview>> (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

Re: How to rotate a part in LDD (Mac)?

(...) I don't know about MAC, but in LDD for PC (I assume is the same principle) once the part is selected, meaning you click with the arrow from the parts pallet, and when the part is shaded then you can rotate the part with the arrow keys. Be sure (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.general)

How to rotate a part in LDD (Mac)?

The pop-up tip says that you can rotate the selected part by using the arrow keys. But the arrow keys don't do a darn thing for me. Has anyone else managed to rotate a part in LDD? Is this just a bug with the new Mac version, perhaps? Thanks, Joe (20 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: BNSF Dash 9

(...) Thank you. I've just uploaded another render of Dash 9. Check it out: (URL) Bye, -- Shaggie. (20 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Stumped already (LDD 1.4)

(...) Hmm, that could be. That's actually a nice feature; I can see how if you owned one or more of these Designer sets, it might be fun to use LDD to design something you can build with it. (Of course it'd be substantially more productive to just (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Stumped already (LDD 1.4)

(...) Thanks. In the Mac version, you do this via the "Preferences" menu (the only non-system menu) within LDD. It also appears that once you've used this trick to add multiple bricksets to your "active" list, you can then turn "use starter sets" (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Allan Bedford "Unofficial LEGO builder's guide"

(...) Thanks for the feedback. It was actually really tough picking out which one to use for the sample chapter. But in the end I felt that the micro chapter had some of the qualities of several other chapters and was therefore a good example. (...) (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.books)

  Re: Stumped already (LDD 1.4)

(...) OK, I figured this one out. To use more than one set of a particular palette, right click on the program's task button and go to preferences and make sure "use starter sets" is unchecked. Then, once back in ldd, you can click on any of the (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Allan Bedford "Unofficial LEGO builder's guide"

  Requirements for Mac LDD

So, I am too lazy to figure it out... what is the oldest Mac that meets the hardware requirements? Minimum System Requirements Mac Operating system: OS X 10.3.9 or 10.4.2 CPU: G4 or faster processor Graphics card: NVidia GeForce 5200/ATI Radeon 7500 (...)   Re: MLCAD mirrored submodels - Help please

Thanks guys - I've more or less understood it now, but I'll dig about a bit more too. Can't believe I chose 8862 to put together as my first model. Angled components, pneumatic tubes and pumps as well as the two digger buckets, which as far as I can (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
