Re: Is Brickfest DC 2005 going to happen?

(...) BrickFest will take place this year, and it will take place in August. The venue search is the main issue, as finding the right balance of price and space has proven to be very difficult. To complicate things, GMU is scheduled to have a (...) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

(...) signals. (...) radio (...) So the robot works out it's best guess from the three intersecting circles. Of course, the radio signal is not strictly neccessary. Beacon A broadcasts it's beep. Beacon B hears A, waits a fixed delay then (...) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: New MOC: Wasteland Rover

(...) Soren, Nice snot work, it also has a great wasteland color scheme. I can see using some of the Tusken Raider bodies for the driver. Did you get any interior shots? Thanks, George (21 years ago, 11-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Crawler Treads

I can imagine there being a glut of wookie figures on bricklink while many builders buy these for their treads. The lack of these has limited the possibilities for GBC and robot designs for too long - so I may buy a few boxes. It would be great if (...) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Peeron suggestion ('show pictures' setting)

(...) I'd second that. I always look at the inventories with pictures as well. It makes it quicker to find what I'm looking for. It'd be great to have a setting that saves this option for each user. -Elroy (21 years ago, 11-Apr-05, to lugnet.inv)

Ho (...)   Re: GPS Reality?

I think by setting many mini Darpa challenges, we can set the larger hobbyist community on it, and somebody is bound to come up with some crazy yet neat solution we havent yet. As I see it - even if nobody actually hit the goals, by awarding the (...) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Crawler Treads

(...) It has seventy of the tread links, 71 if you include the supernumerary one. At $30 ($24 if you find a 20% off sale) you're effectively paying $10 over the price for an equivalent number of DACTA tread links. I'd rather have these, though (...) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Peeron suggestion ('show pictures' setting)

When browsing peeron, for every inventory I watch I always first press the 'show pictures' link. I have to do this for every inventory I watch. I noticed peeron recognizes who I am through a cookie, so would it be an idea to be able to indicate on (...) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-05, to lugnet.inv)
