(...) No one was saying you were. Also, no one is attacking your effort, because your effort and persistence are to be applauded. (...) I wasn't telling you _not_ to ask for help, but rather not to ask for help in the manner you have been using. (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Millennium Slizer (Throw Bot)

It is my understanding that Slizer (Throw Bot) sets have been very successful in the US market. Much to my dismay, my son loves these sets... so I was trying to find some for his birthday. They are not on very many store shelves. I was talking to (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) doesn't (...) all (...) -I disagree. It lets you do a lot of testing without firing up your computer, via the "motor on" buttons.   8448 and the Toy Site

Does anyone know when 8448 (Auto Chassis V) will be in stores? Also, I visited the Toy Site in Waltham MA this week. That's a really cool store. They have the largest selection in stock of any store I've seen. Maybe I'll mail-order the big stuff (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) <snip> (...) Actually, other than NELUG, I haven't heard of any other organized U.S. Lego non-train-specific clubs on the web (MIT and school projects don't count in this example).   Re: Millisecond timing

(...) See the Polaroid sonar code (from the HB web site) for an example of how to measure timing signals on the TIC3 channel. You initialize with: bit_set( 0x1009, 0x30 ); /* ddrd */ bit_set( 0x1021, 1 ); /* at tctl2, */ bit_clear( 0x1021, 2 ); /* (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: why is no-one saying anything about my parts?

Jonathan, maybe we do need to try and respect your current attempts, but please try and follow some simple standards. I think that these are the biggest things that got people mad at you for 1. Don't post gobs of messages of .dats. If you just focus (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Millisecond timing

The clock speed on the Handy Board runs at 2 Mhz, which is plenty fast enough for most things IF you run the right code. IC, used in its C implementation is too slow to catch anything at 1 ms reliably. However, there are a few simple work arounds. (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

OK, Tom... I'll get 10 of the 6406 race car packet for you and bring them next week. If you don't make it, I'll just send them to you at Netscape. Paul Sinasohn (25 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Is Sacramento in the Bay Area? ;-)

Hi Duane, (others?) I don't know how often you check in here (LUGNET/SAC), but we have a fairly active group in LUGNET/SF, which is the main forum for the Bay Area folks. All are invited to take a peek and see what we're up to there. The Bay Area (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sac)
