Re: Silver Squidy, Medieval Bot, and new Mr.Ham

(...) The design came partly from looking at Tim Deering's (URL) Chesty MacBarrels>. Actually, now that I look at it, I used exactly the same arm design as he did. Well, I thought that was original. Someone shoot me in the pants and call me Sheryl. (...) (21 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: 50 Years - Lego System of Play

(...) OK, what confused me was that some of these things are still one piece today juniorization?), such as trees and roadsigns. And the 1:87 cars/trucks were in existence 7 years before any Lego wheels came out. So some of these things that might (...) (21 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Cell Phones are OK to use in hospitals.

(...) I work in a hospital- I asked the same question... It's more about interference with telemetry than anything else, and it's mostly older equipment, but since they can't test *every* cell phone, and hospitals are dealing with high stakes... (...)   Pretty much punched

Yep, the old playfield is pretty much hosed. Given a few weeks and a belt sander, I'll get somehting workable, but for Saturday, not so much. I have a word out for a 9 foot by 9 foot greenhouse shading system material--it's very good at covering (...) (21 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: GPLR - PORTLAND GATS

(...) lol - and Steve was giving Dan Parker grief this weekend for his email prowess, or lack thereof. A li'l case of the pot calling the kettle here, eh Steve? ;) GATS was a fun show, even though the open freight door during loading froze us. We (...)   lugnet.loc.us.ca.sd curator

Who is the curator for lugnet.loc.us.ca.sd, San Diego California? If there is none, I'd like to do so. I'd like to set up some links to local AFOL groups in the area and a LL link in the sidebar.   Re: A few rendered MOCs

(...) Nice. I built the dice in the real world before (different interior). The only problem I found is getting them to land upright. Solution is to add more dots of the same color as the background so that each side has a larger flat area to rest (...) (21 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, FTX)

  Re: 7-wide Elevated Train Cars

(...) Not intentionally, but now that you've mentioned it I've just remembered that they make a [LDrawPart 6081:7] For some reason I didn't even think of that! Doh! Oh well I got a pretty good deal on all those [LDrawPart 6091:7]'s. (...) I used 2x4 (...) (21 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Creating custom fabric elements for Lego minifigures

Hi Kevin (...) Thanks! (...) I'm not surprised you got similar results - PVA adhesive uses the same carrier medium as acrylic medium, with various gunk added to increase adhesion. For what it's worth, I recommend acrylic medium over PVA, because (...) (21 years ago, 23-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.parts.custom, lugnet.parts.mod)

Hi Janey! (...) You're welcome. I think of it as casting bread upon the waters. :) (...) There's a multi-page "Creating Custom Elements" essay to come that's just waiting on a couple of images being uploaded. It covers a lot of my "hard material" (...)   Re: Cell Phones are OK to use in hospitals.

(...) You're right, but I basically admitted to that already. I wasn't trying to be a know-it-all but it certainly came out that way. Sorry. However, here's an article I found after my post: (URL) (21 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Many new parts added lately

After closing my shop for my move last Nov, I *think* I finally have time to open it back up. I've been adding the purchases made since then, so inventory might change daily for a while (especially as I sort through 4562s). PLEASE NOTE - I have not (...)   Re: Cell Phones are OK to use in hospitals.
