Re: Halving the colours in the palette - Lego Life Sept 2004

(...) My NLSO has mentioned a similar concept several times as something she would be interested in. Marc Nelson Jr. (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: My first MOC in "bley"....

(...) snip Good day, John! Possibly I should be really glad about the bley-thing in the end (without any joking!). Since 1997 I have spent (by far) over 4000 Eur each year for new bricks (90% of these as MISB sets). Next to this, I have partly spent (...) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Help locating someone who was buying from me David/Erin Stiers

I am trying to locate David/Erin Stiers, used to be located in Fayetteville, AR. But emails now bounce, physical letter sent to the address came back as undeliverable. I assume they moved, but they partially paid for an order of LEGO so I would love (...) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.loc.us.ar)

Re: Demon hover drop ship MOC

(...) I meant they could use some refinement. Right now the engines have a wheel hub attached to the back of a flat surface. It could use a bit of work around the wheel hub to make it look more like an engine exhaust and less like a wheel hub (...) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Space Wheels Contest... any winners?!?

(...) At least they're still talking: They could've died of starvation or gone into hibernation... You better poke at them once in a while so we don't have to wait till spring to get the results. -NB (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: My first MOC in "bley"....

(...) I know how serious you are when it comes to your acrimony over the color changes, and so I shouldn't have made light of it in the first place (but how could I resist? You are such a character:-) FWIW, I think the decision was a unmitigated (...) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.color, lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

Re: New mosaic: Portrait of 3 boys

(...) Interesting. I don't have that background, but I may have to mess around in PSP and see what I can accomplish. (...) That's a neat setup. (...) Hmm, I typically end up dragging the blue bins off the shelf and setting them around me at my build (...) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.mosaic, lugnet.storage, FTX)

Re: Missing Folders? What's up, Koyan?

(...) Ahhh, that's a relief:-) I appreciate all of the hard work you are putting into this project of yours, and I'm not even aware of half the work that you are doing on it! I don't know how you are deciding which sets to render next, but if you (...) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: My first MOC in "bley"....

(...) Nice. I have been neutral about the new colors and have just added them into my collection. HOWEVER, whenever I build a MOC and pull out a new "bley" brick and place it on the model. GARBAGE!!!! They look so out of place. I immediately take it (...) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: A Monumental Task

(...) I don't envy your task Steve. This summer, when my wife and I bought our first house, I had to move a similarly sized collection. I was fortunate in that we only moved 15 minutes away. (...) Since the majority of my collection is in 3033 sized (...) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.storage, FTX)

Re: Lego loses legal battle with Best-Lock in Germany

(...) MB issued a press release about this as well: (URL) a relatively slow loading PDF. Unfortunately I could not just grab the text but the gist is they are happy and they think they are going to do well.   Make gears quieter

Guys, How can I reduce the noise that comes from a set of gears? O.T. (duh its rtl) I have a cool new weiser lock set; the automated kind. Forget keys, just punch in a code. Its so cool!!! When I leave the house, I lock the door by pressing ONE (...) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Let there be .space

(...) That should be version 508, I think. Maybe 508b? I've seen all three numbers in different places. But the most high-profile information states version 508. Steve (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.cad)

Re: My first MOC in "bley"....

(...) Hi Samarth, I believe due to time constraints or other issues, Terry took his website down. That said, Terry sent Brad to my place for the fist part of the World Tour, and if you would like to see pics of Brads visit with me, have a look (...)   Re: Say What???

Thanks for the additional information, Tim. Too bad it is an just a production prototype and not an indication of something new coming from LEGO. I took my daughter to a Greenberg model train show this past weekend. I'm not and never have been into (...) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains)

1 x 3 bricks in transparent dark blue

Does anyone know where 1 x 3 bricks in transparent dark blue would be from? Bricklink has some for sale but neither bricklink not peeron can tell me what set they came in. (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)

  large technic hook

Does anyone know what metal the large technic hook is made from? Or what coating (paint etc) is applied? Is it waterproof (i.e. will it rust if I get it wet?) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic)

  RE: A Monumental Task

(...) Good luck with the move. Beware masking tape and the evils of what the adhesive will do when left in contact with some plastics! I second the suggestion for using plastic shipping wrap. Sure, it's ecologically bad, but it is recyclable. (...) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.storage)
