Hallo Ronald, (...) We had that already, it is now called BrickOS. Jürgen (21 years ago, 10-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

  More Microscale MOCs

Hi all, I've posted a few more microscale MOCs in my folder. Two of them were done by my children for the Lego Factory contest. Enjoy, and let me know what you think!   Re: building cow-catchers/ploughs?

(...) I used 2x4 plates with some hinges on my Adventurer's train. It seems to work pretty well. I have an LDraw file at home that I can send you if you're interested. This is probably the best pic of the setup that I used: (URL) (21 years ago, 10-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Lego in subdomains, legal or not?

(...) I disagree - both about using "l3go" and about greater restrictions. Pushing towards an edge means that TLG will need to delinate it more clearly - which means less grey area. as for the "l3go", i think your average user would think something (...) Thanks for doing this, Tim. It was an honor to supply the villian for Anton's movie. :) --Dan (21 years ago, 10-Dec-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.cad)

  Re: Idea Crunching

(...) I use wheels for engines all the time, so maybe I'm a little defensive, but I agree with Gil that they work better when they are countersunk into a housing. I think the wheel-engine on the Quasar was less than satisfying because it stuck out (...) (21 years ago, 10-Dec-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Town Hall - Micro Scale for Lego Factory Contest

Hi Mark, Thank you for your kind words about my models. These are really the first serious MOCs I've ever done. I usually build sets from the instructions. The software is pretty cool to use though, although it tends to be tricky at times. I think (...) (21 years ago, 10-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.microscale)

  Re: Gray paint mod

(...) Do you have an airbrush? You may have to mix your own using model paints. In fact I'd recomend this for a better surface. Even hand painting may be preferable. I used to build alot of models. And with some practice I got quite good at giving (...) (21 years ago, 10-Dec-04, to lugnet.parts.mod, FTX)

SNIPPY Thanks! I was wondering if it would be possible for you to give me the URL for the message please- for my own records. Je suis pas mal avec francais. (did I say that right?) Samarth (21 years ago, 10-Dec-04, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Lego in subdomains, legal or not?

Hello Niels, (...) To me a name as l3go seems like getting as close to the edge as possible. Prehaps it's just (bearly) enough to be legal (but I'm not even sure about that), but it's certainly against the spirit of the rule. Looking for the edge (...)   Re: Why NQC over Robolab?

(...) Can you explain exactly how RoboLab support the MicroScout? I'm guessing you can write simple scripts that can be downloaded using the USB tower's VLL support. Is that right? John Hansen (21 years ago, 10-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Modelling Indian Railways In Lego- A tutorial

Hi, Great work samarth, it's exactly kind of article I like to read (LEGO, trains and building technics). I've immediately made a post about it on FreeLUG mailing list for french non-lugnetters. I've not finished to read it yet, but i'm probably (...) (21 years ago, 10-Dec-04, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: PCS AGENA 1/B Cruiser

  Re: MOC: Shuriken

(...) Thanks, Paul! (...) You're right! Most of my green is tied up in a mech I don't want to disassemble, and a lot of my sand green is in use in another MOC, otherwise I would have tried a green one. (...) I will try the grey, that might work. (...) (21 years ago, 10-Dec-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

You'll notice the dead trademark is for computer game rights. They obviously decided a jack stone computer game wouldnt sell. [should probably change follow up but no idea where it should go] (21 years ago, 10-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Lego in subdomains, legal or not?

(...) Hi Jake, thanx for your comments but there are still some unclear points: "lego" as a word is clearly registered by the company and therefor cannot be used in domain or subdomain names. But "lego" as part of a word should not be registered in (...) (21 years ago, 10-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)
