I think this is a new initiative to further cut costs. Its funny one part of Lego decides it needs to control the pallette and amount of "usuable parts" in the system, while another part keeps on coming out with new colors and new parts (molds) for (...) Wow!!! That is crazy. I can see an "amateur start-up" making that kind of rookie mistake but that shouldn't happen at a seasoned place like our dear Lego Shop@Home. (...) I think all you really need to do is switch the motor port between "float" and "brake". That's the same as opening and closing a touch sensor. A word about the part reference provided by bricklink to peeron - this is incorrect, as bricklink and peeron do not use the same part numbers. The peeron part number for this part is (URL) - they are found both in 6180 and 6199, however, finding (...) (21 years ago, 9-Dec-04, to lugnet.loc.au)
