 | | How LEGO FACTORY can stimulate AFOL interest (and sales).
|

I was looking at the Lego Factory site yesterday. And like some other AFOLs I was rather disappointed with the Micro Lego scale. I don't care much for those 1x1 headlights (or pigeon holes as I like to call them) used as windows. It is too bad that (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) Steve, I agree with you on the Technic argument. I personally haven't liked Town since the 1970's, but others don't see it that way. Around 1980 I started to build MOCs. Granted a lot of AFOL's prefer to build mostly what the company comes out (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

(...) That's fine, but the bricks I used were all from the period 1970-1980, as they were put away when I began my 20 year dark age in 1981, and I have since always kept them separate from my new bricks. I actually picked out the bricks that looked (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego)

Hi all, to draw a model, which I own for over 5 years, I have now done CAD files for the 60ies hook coupling and the 60ies 4.5 train waggon wheel with riffles. Now at last I was able to render the "Esso promotional set 121". The result can be seen (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.trains)

If you do some piece research, you'll find that these are most likely production overruns from current or recently-discontinued sets. I haven't found pieces in the three I bought that are in sets older than 2000. As for the pink, that's probably (...) (21 years ago, 20-Nov-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

 | | Q 'bout Space Wheels contest
|
|
Ok, so the MOC must use at least one wheel to get around. I'm guessing that wouldn't apply to a piece that is meant to be a wheel but is being used as a sort of hover-engine thingy. No matter, I'll post pictures of this little bot very soon! Dave (21 years ago, 20-Nov-04, to lugnet.space)
