  Re: 8475 Motor Tests

(...) Holy C......... That's quite high (understatement) for a little LEGO motor. Do you think it's possible that the train controller I used in my test didn't produce enough juice? If that's the case, then the motor has a higher maximum stall (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Tri-axle Prussian State Railroad Coaches

Here's what I came up with when thinking about what to build with the current green coaches. The wheel geometry came from a collaboration between Dan Parker (PNLTC) and James Mathis about 3 years ago (thanks guys). I first saw this when Dan showed (...)   Target Sale

15% Off everything. (If they've got anything left! When I visited Target Hornsby last week, they had very little on the LEGO shelves. Some creator, a bit more HP, and ONE Star Wars set!). The sale is on today (9/1) and tomorrow (10/1). Cheers Richie (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Understanding Leaks

In the "real world" outside of us LEGO enthusiasts, "leaks" are almost always pieces of information that are deliberately distributed outside the intended audience. The "leaks" discussed on LUGNET are really more like "seepage", i.e., information (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

MOC: German WWII halftrack and armoured car

Hi all Happy new Lego year to you. I have opened 2003 with some new models of German WWII vehicles. The half-track SdKfz 251 and the armoured car SdKfz 222. I have been experimenting a little with different colours. Nowadays most parts are available (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.loc.se) !!

  Re: Need Car Designs

(...) Hi Derek, If you're after an "easy-to-do" 4-wide design by LEGO, I suggest the two that can be found on set #2140. The parts for either of the two are relatively easy to find in large numbers and in a wide set of colors, so you can set up a (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Need Car Designs

I just built a small car dealership in Altenburg but I don't have time to think up a car design to sell from it. Can any one point me to some small car designs I could use or build on for this. Thanks, Derek (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: see Schickele tram train

(...) I've already seen the pic, thanks for posting it. I'm really curious to see if I can adapt this construction of yours to use in "extra low" train cars, while still allowing for the car to have couplers at regular train height. I've tried it (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

Inspired by new HST set 4511

Upon seeing the new high speed train set 4511, I have tried a reverse design immitation. (URL) model has working headlights. The side-sloping nose does stick out slightly wider than 6-wide, plus the knobs on the side are a bit out of place. Looking (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LEGO Legend #10041 European prices and shipping

(...) Ok, it's a valid point to explain *the existance* of a difference. Still, we are paying the same €5 difference in both the SFSC cars and #10041; since the base prices are different and VAT is a percentage of it, one of two things is happening: (...)
