  Re: Minifigs...

(...) <snip> (...) I definitly agree here. I actually like minifig's alot but not if they are like Jar Jar's head or Sebulla <sp?>. Especially Sebulla that little piece of twisted plastic is awful. Jar Jar's head is a nice shape but the least they (...) (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Miniature Stepper Motors

This is more of a general question about the size and resolution of stepper motors and linear actuators. Basically, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with very small high resolution actuators. I am trying to find out if stepper motors on (...)   Re: Old Lego colors

(...) Even though LEGO plates came out in 1963 (1x1 & 1x2, 2x2, 2x3, 2x4 in parts packs 521, 520, 519 and 518 respectively), parts packs were the only way to purchase them at the time. The basic sets back then only carried the 2x8, 4x8, 6x8 and the (...) (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: trains and my original Railtech train cars...

(...) Thomas Burger wrote (in part); (...) Hi Thomas. I've been a big fan of your RailTech line, and the LDRAW pages you've put up. Your train signals were one of the things that had encouraged me to design the electronics for lighting such train (...) (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Suggestion for LDraw FAQ

(...) [snip] (...) This is definitely something you need to do. I think that if you change the rather dull description "Ongoing maintenance and development" into "Release of new parts, programs and add on's" that item on voting procedures will catch (...) (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.faq)

Re: Linking between FAQ items (Was: [LDraw FAQ] Who wrote LDraw?)

(...) It would be super-cool if we had a cross-platform way to give some sort of "see-also" link from one FAQ question to another -- so that the links could be handled in a way most appropriate to their target platform... In an LDraw-oriented FAQ (...) (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.faq)

Re: New Freestyle Train Cars and Truck

Re: Linking between FAQ items (Was: [LDraw FAQ] Who wrote LDraw?)

(...) I'm just curious, FMI (1): Why generate them on-the-fly when you only really need to generate them once after a change? What advantage does on-the-fly generation give us? Or when you say transparent caching, that means that the FAQ items are (...) (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.faq)

  Re: Old Lego colors

(...) One thing that we need to remember was that in the late 50's and thru much of the 60's LEGO consisted mainly of TOWN sets . And in both Europe and USA/Canada (Samsonite) TOWN consisted of the Town Plan system. The (Samsonite) Town Plan set (...) (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Scaling within LDAO HTMLGen tool

(...) Set the Zoom/Scale to 50% on the main LDraw Add-On window before you go into the HTML function. Warning: current versions (2.0 or higher) of LDAO die badly in the HTML Generator. This will be fixed in the next version, which won't be in the (...) (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Why are people buying Starwars Lego off ebay?

Oh, that I had the wealth of Larry Pieniazek, such that I could afford to buy LEGO sets to my heart's desire. Alas, I'm feeling impoverished after my successful bid at becoming LEGO SW complete, and having to buy plane tickets, and having to pay my (...) (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Minifigs...

Txt2Dat, utility to convert text to LDraw

I've created a small utility program (and supporting DAT files) to create LDraw displays from text messages. It's currently very limited; it only handles numbers, letters, and some whitespace.
