Re: Classic Space set design and building contest

(...) The name was pretty obvious... a definite descendant of both the Starfleet Voyager and the Galaxy Explorer. Oh, and I got dibs on the Starfleet Commander name! But if we all try to stay highly classic, including naming conventions, we're (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

  Re: Space Base Ideas?

Hey Mark, Dang. would love to get more "interesting" baseplates. Besides flat road and green ones, I only have two of the old moon plates from my Galaxy Explorer. Sadly, that's ALL that I have from those days. D'oh! Evil-and-Stupid-for-...egos-Wayne (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.aquazone)

  Re: That AT-ST Scout Walker.

(...) Actually, I quite like the AT-ST. Then again, I also liked the Millenium Falcon. There are some definite details on the cab/head, and the parallel swivel-hip mimics pretty closely the way the walkers moved in the movies. While a much better (...)   Re: My Space Theme Wish for 2001

(...) Yeah, bacteria can survive a lot of stuff. I wouldn't be surprised. However, I'd also assume that 1) if they're food bacteria, they're not going to really be a big problem, and 2) any food they had would be sealed, not stored on top of the (...)   New 'Quirinius' and 'TigerStark' Mecha

Have a look at my new (still under construction) website - two new mechs: (URL) do you think? Jason. (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Weeks Box - round two (...no, really!)

  FS: MISB 2845 Indian Chief

Hello Wild West fans, I have a couple of MISB 2845 Indian Chief sets for sale. I was thinking 4$each + shipping. Let me know if you are interested Kevin Z #142 (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Medieval Brikwars in November!

(...) I should probably likewise point out that I can give out loaner Black Falcons, Crusaders, etc. I have lots of Castle guys from all eras. (...) Yeah, but they would (IMHO) really detract from the setup. I think, beleive it or not, that not much (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  That AT-ST Scout Walker.

Is it just me, or is that AT-ST absolutely dreadful? There's been no attempt to mimic any of the detail, and the parallel-swivel hip set is ridiculous. This is an even worse replica than the Millenium Falcon. The Tie-Fighter and Imperial Shuttle (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

FS: MISB 2885 Ice Cream Stand

Hello Town and Paradisa fans, I have a few MISB 2885 Ice cream stands for sale. I was thinking 4$US each + shipping. If you buy more than one you will save on shipping. Let me know if you are interested, Kevin Z #142 (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Modification -where do I begin?

  Re: Returning to the fold

The most certain and fast way to get old sets is online auctions, but they can be pricey. There is a marketplace newsgroup here on lugnet. Check it out. I have found old sets in garage sales and thrift stores at very good prices, but it is rather (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: My Space Theme Wish for 2001

(...) They did specifically address the temperature, and the robust cosmonaut compared it to a cold Russian winter. In addition, they'd turned the thermostat on his suit way up to preserve his core temp. I'm sure he couldn't have lasted long, even (...)   Re: My Space Theme Wish for 2001

Think of all the bricks it would be... But not many space bricks, it would be more like a town setup. The really interesting part would be the hull, with all it's mazes and strange places (if you've read Rama 2 you know what I mean). And the Node! (...)   Re: Medieval Brikwars in November!

(...) Cool! And if anyone needs troops, I've got the extra Black Falcons, Crusaders, Black Knights, Fright Knights, Royal Knights, etc. to accomadate :) [also a sizeable supply of horses & dragons, weapons, etc] (...) That'd be quite the setup! I (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Life on Mars air-pump function

(...) I hope that's not quite how it works; the last thing we need is a toy marketed to (probably) ages 4 and up that's capable of launching a high velocity projectile (and hence a choking hazard). At the very least, if that IS how it works, slap an (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: My Space Theme Wish for 2001

What I found rather strange, though, was that after the astronauts boarded Discovery and released oxygen in the ship, they just took their helmets off and started breathing! Wouldn't the air be filled with bacteria from rotten food supplies or (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.space)
