  Re: New parts for 2001?

(...) I think they are different parts. The brick in 7313 is 2x4x3 with some kind of connector in the middle for attaching the fan blades, probably standard technic cross-axle. The brick in the mars base appears to be 4x4x3, and could not have any (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New parts for 2001?

(...) Good eye on that one. Yes, I think it looks like a 1/4 8x8 cylinder panel in the Alpha Team base. Also in 7106, notice how the cylinder perfectly follows the curve of the bottom 8x8 round plate. I don't think a plastic sheet would be able to (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Heads up, a project request may be coming

(...) Yes. Someone that works for an Australian firm sent me a note trying to find people that might be able to help out with a Lego related project they had in mind for a convention they are attending in Melbourne.   Re: Latest Larger Layout

(...) How would you have tunneled tracks *and* a table-level loop? They would be trying to occupy the same space. A raised loop works. Or are you suggesting the tables the mountain is on be lowered the required 11 bricks (14?), so that "table level" (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

(...) You know, I've been trying to come up with a Mara Jade joke the whole time people have been dicsussing the Emperor's Hands, but I didn't think anyone else would get it. eric (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Fair price for sealed 6280?

What's a decent price for a sealed 6280? I have two copies of this set I was thinking of breaking up for parts (I mainly want the green railings but I can do without them) but I figured it might be easier (and nicer for someone who missed out on (...) In fact, this same part is present in the Bionicle sets. Look at the chest of Lewa, Kopaka, and Tahu, and the under-arm on Pohatu.   Re: LEGO 2001

(...) It's not the first crazy face lego has made. While I still prefer plain smileys, I wouldn't mind one (1) of those heads -- if only the didn't have that #%$@*! microphone. [ignoring requested followup-to; sorry] (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: New click hinge

I am really beginning to hate going to the Lego web site. They make finding things so tough if you don't want to use all the bells and whistles. At least the bulk order section has cleaned up. I never did see the views on the kit. Just a lot of (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

(...) I definitely hope that Brickfest 2001 will be in a 24hr venue. If not, I'm going to plead pretty strongly for a lockable room for the Pirate Game so we can set up and get started Friday night. I also hope we can find a way to do a Piratefest, (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: What is with the Technic Stormtrooper?

Given the great differences in set quality across the entire line of Star Wars Lego models, I don't see why there is such a big discussion over this particular set. Are we suggesting that the Technic stormtrooper is the only Star Wars set available (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic)
