  2001 themes

We all want to know what will come out in 2001. We know there will be a Harry Potter theme and maybe Pirates. (Some other messages go into more detail on that)But I like to speculate on what may come out, even though there's no proof. One of my (...) (26 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: This will get someone upset...

(...) Yeah, seems like a fairly simple case of a personal dislike, motivated by I don't know what, but not really important to me. I use the web interface now as well, but if I ever switch back to a news reader I'll have my sig pre-defined for every (...)   Re: Greenburg Show Dec 2nd & 3rd in Wilmington MA

(...) I bet the fire coverage for our layout would be about the best of any LEGO train/town layout :-). As far as the tables go I think we could knock out 6 tables on the PNLTC model in an afternoon easy. They have plans for their tables on their (...)   Re: My Goal for Before I Leave

(...) I'm afraid I don't build really amazing pirate ships. Since they are primarily for gaming, they tend to be kept on a scale reasonably even with the stock ships. I clean up designs, change color schemes, stretch the odd ship into a bigger one, (...) (26 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Funtech Summer Holiday Computer Courses

Had a leaflet through the door today advertising the above. Targetted at kids. What was interesting is that it featured a large photo of a 'computer controlled car test bed' that was part of a Lego/Dacta robotics course. The model looked real (...) (26 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Greenburg Show Dec 2nd & 3rd in Wilmington MA

(...) Actually, in that vein, I was thinking about something: The best train layouts I've seen have *action* occuring in them, not just trains running around. With the absolutely beautiful engines available to us, why not have a fire going on? I'm (...) (26 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Updating the FAQ page on the NELUG homepage.

I will be taking down the current FAQ page on the NELUG homepage very soon so that we can rewrite it. I would even suggest that we have 2 pages. One would be the FAQ page and the other would be a simple "Membership" page similar to the PNLTC members (...) (26 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: OK then I'll try again... more MOCS

(...) Ah, that is why the 1x1 cylinders are there, huh? I was wondering what they were for. If backwards is a problem the thing that pops to mind is, does the rounded technic beam need to pivot? If not maybe it could be locked down in two places? I (...) (26 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: What age does buying lego become embarrassing?

(...) It gets less embarrasing as the years go on. I am 47 and not embarrased at all. In fact, I am quite proud to point it out to people. Though they are usually surprised that someone my age 'plays with toys'. Obviously shopping isnt a problem, (...) (26 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.general)

Hmmm I'll have to remember that :) easier than digging in all the bags to see what parts are in the new sets : ) So far I haven't had much time to build the sets, though the 6034 and 6042 are complete.   Brickbay.com shop-opening approval

About how long does it usually take to get approval to open a shop on BrickBay? I registered today and I can't wait to get started building an inventory. Thanks in advance. -Adam 8^l (26 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: What age does buying lego become embarrassing?

Part of growing up is learning how to march to the beat of your own drum. If you realize that there is actually noting at all wrong with you purchasing LEGO (with or without your mom), you should have no problem. If you find yourself worrying about (...)
