  This Friday, May 5th...

Hi all, So who's bringing what this Friday? Just wanna know so that I can start getting excited, that's all... :) I'm bringing my castle (I know Robin wants to lay siege to it), although it's a small potato compared to the other ones that others (...)   RE: Shell Promo question

(...) So, considering the size of NZ, do you think I'd still be able to get the years membership? :) Benjamin Whytcross BWhytcro@PacificAccess.com.au Ph: (03) 9856 5282 Directory Technology Pty Ltd 1/436 Elgar Road, Box Hill, 3128 Growing older is (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.promo)

Re: Putting on a good show...

(...) Pete this sounds like a great idea. Would we want to have a large diorama in a similar theme, or several MOCs according to personal preference? Maybe a few alternate models based on single sets, or two small sets as well (that are currently (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  trivia- parts bags smooth

I built w/znap for the first time Sun.- set 3551 ( the bird on p28 of instructions). I like it even though , well, maybe because, it is sort of strange. Even the bags the parts were packaged in were different. They were smooth - no little holes. I (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.znap)

  Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update!

My LDraw experience is very limited, but I have gotten it to work using Virtual PC on my Mac. I was running Virtual PC 3.0 with Win 95. I just installed Win 98 (A very scary experience for a devoted Mac guy) and I haven't tried putting LDraw back (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

RE: Putting on a good show...

I don't know if anyone else has done this, but I've found that you can make a good tractor and slasher [which can be lifted for travel, so it isnt still 'cutting'] out of 6470 [mini digger]. This uses all the parts, and I actually prefer this to the (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Where did you lot spring from?

(...) that (...) sets (...) Re: cost and availability of Lego. Our range is reasonably good -- most sets come out here a few months after they appear in the US. The real limit is the price. In general 2x US$MSRP = $AU RRP (so 7131 costs $US15 in (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general)

RE: Where did you lot spring from?

(...) Actually, it was a keying mistake by Targets head office...All the adds, and the posters in the stores said either it was excluding LEGO, or that it was star wars toys from HASBRO, and 1 other manufacturer only....We were extremely lucky [BTW, (...)   Re: Putting on a good show...

(...) I think as many different themes/MOCs as we can safely transport/display. Small MOCs/alternate models would be great, because we want people to see what is possible with a limited number of bricks, and not just steamroll them with 100,000 (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Putting on a good show...

(...) Yep, please do. With the farm theme, maybe Lego see Duplo as filling that requirement. But why not Town, you have every form of shop and utility, so why not a minifig farm ? (if you can make polar bears, why not cows/horses) pete.w (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Where did you lot spring from?

(...) There was also the sale a couple of weeks ago where all Lego was 25% off, and SW, Ninja, Insectoids, Fright Nights were all 50% off. Maybe they saw the massive surge in spending because of the mistake and thought, "Let's try it again"? --daveL (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: trivia- parts bags smooth

(...) In Australia, more and more bags in sets are coming non-perforated and we get our supply from Europe. I collect a lot of themes and the proportion gets more and more. I'd say it's a cost-cutting idea, since surely not doing somethimg to a (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.znap)

  Re: trivia- parts bags smooth

(...) Maybe that has something to do with it as well -- it would be easier to print images on a non-perforated bag, so make all the bags (printed or not) non- perforated. --daveL Is there a pamphlets and packaging discussion group? Or just .general? (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.znap)
