Re: LEGO Aquazone Sting Ray Stormer (6198)

(...) It looks like Amazon keeps track of which toys get hit most, then up the prices accordingly (or something)... Anyhow, it's now listed at $43.99, whereas earlier it was $39.99. Maybe there's something to said for caching proxy servers after (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Minifig Armies?

(...) How did you pry the horse's body apart? I tried doing this the other day and wasn't successful, but I haven't tried since. Any special tricks? Chris P.S. Now, what to do with the horse's head? Now, if I had a Lego MafiaWorld... :) (for those (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: New train

Ben, It looks nice. It looks like you are using rounded off "FreeStyle" 2x3 bricks [1] on the cab and on the tender. I have been looking for those. I have only found one FreeStyle set that has them in blue, and that $20 set only has two of them. (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LEGO availability in Europe vs. US

I _think_ the cybermaster set (or add-ons) is not available in the US. It is discounted right now to ~$100. In the US, also, you do not get the 4560 - but this is no big deal as you have the 4561.   Just how sturdy are your trains?

Let me say that this is NOTmeant to be derogatory in any way. I just checked out Ben's "a Baltimore and Ohio Royal Blue 2-6-2 steam engine" (URL) it got me thinking. Ben used a stud forward building technique along the length of the engine, and I (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

  motors: is there a difference?

Greetings! Recently I picked up a lego techo kit (#8266/3038) to add some extra parts to my collection. The kit contains, among other things, a motor and a 6 volt power supply with a single on-off switch. To try out the new motor I built the simple (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: motors: is there a difference?

I think it's just an older version of the same motor. I've bought several 8735 Advanced Power Packs from different sources. The newer ones had the 71427-002 motor and three that I got from a local toy shop had obviously been sitting on their shelf (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics)
