  Re: Reddifest was great

(...) It's at (URL) which is linked from (URL). I've added some local shops and not-so local shops that I know about, but apart from that no-one else has sent me any shopping info! I assumed that this was a lack of interest (despite the offer of (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Reddifest was great

(...) Silly me, I forgot to mention this page (URL) which describes in rambly detail, exactly the sort of information that I need, and what is the tip-top format to send it to me. Although, I will accept *anything*, it doesn't have to have address, (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: What should I buy for a robotics course?

(...) I've been working a similar course for a professor I work for. We're going to use HandyBoards and LEGOs in a computer science oriented robotics course. We decided to go with the HandyBoard over the LEGO RCX. The HandyBoard is very well suited (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Question

(...) The lcd_refresh() copies all data into the LCD controller chip, so the data is definitely there. But this data takes some time to be displayed on the actual LCD: The controller needs to drive the lines to the LCD, and the LCD itself has some (...)   Re: Interesting classic space items over on eBay

(...) I wonder if these were some kind of marketing experiment in response to the sales of Star Wars figures. Placing them on cards would put them in the same kind of shelf presentation as SW figs. It might also explain why there were so many (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: How many Lego® posters are there?

There are two Star Wars Lego posters that I have, one with Darth Vader and the other with Darth Maul, with their hands outstretched and Lego pieces flying between them. I bought them at the Lego Imagination Center at Disney World, and they may still (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: How many Lego® posters are there?

(...) There are lots of one-sheet posters inserted in some of the larger sets. I got a Fright Knights poster in the big Fright Knights castle (which I ordered from ETS DYA) and a Divers poster that I discovered last night in a set I was given as a (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

  RE: Turning power off?

(...) It's probably bad luck. Two weeks running is about normal if you're doing lots of IR downloads. The IRED takes quite a bit of current when transmitting. The POWER_OFF does shut things down....I really do forget if RCX_SHUTDOWN is necessary. (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  Re: Reddifest pictures are up

(...) Those blue hoppers weren't ALL mine - only 10 :-) I seem to have obstructed every one of your attempts to photograph the 9V layout! P1010005 actually shows Torsten raising the pantographs - it was the first train though. P1010022 Simon (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Color Palette

As long as somebody is answering questions about color, maybe you can answer mine too. I've recently started using L3P as my conversion tool, and I've been quite happy with the results. However, it doesn't like some of the MLcad colors, such as (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: Containers

(...) There is a standard LEGO Container size which lorries, trucks and the 1991 sea ports all used - 4x8 in plan. The Maersk and Color Line trucks have different size containers. Set 1651 the old Maersk truck: (URL) 6 wide containers I think they (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

Re: Alternate Sources for Pneumatic Tubing?

Take a look at my previous post (URL) I'd be glad to pick some up or anyone who would like some... I thought if there was enough interest to see about buying a majority of the reel or the whole reel if they would be willing to deal... Dave (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Reddifest was great

Dear All, Apologies for the delay, but have been attending a family christening in Redhill, and have just got back to Barnsley. Many thanks to Simon for the organisation, I was amazed how fast the time went until my pass was revoked and my family (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Villiager Mini-Figs?

Hey ya'all, my castle is nearing completion (pics soon), and my attention is turning towards my surrounding town. I was wondering if anybody had ideas for making townspeople. Any ideas or links? Rob (the newbie) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

Replacement Rigging (was Re: Ironclad _La Gloire_ virtually complete)

(...) I've used them, but in "wrap" form--sandwiched into some other construction. But the cording seems too thick to hold well between bricks. The thread, as you noted, will work between 'em--the problem is that I only had one piece of unused (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.boats, lugnet.build)

  Re: F1 Grand Prix LEGO???

This is the first I've heard about it. I may have to go check my nearest MYCAR store as they have displayed outside their store "F1 Merchandise". But Australian F1 Grand Prix Lego is exactly what I need for my town! It'd be a good excuse to get more (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.au.vic.mel)

You wouldn't want one of these landing at your Airport!

I was planning to build a realistic minifig scale Jumbo 747, then I figured out the dimensions of it, consequently I quit the whole project, because: A: It would be near 30 studs wide(God knows what that would be with the wings!) B: It would also be (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Re: Villiager Mini-Figs?

(...) Well There are many ways to make villagers some people use SW Bodies for Villagers. They kind of look medevial or you could use Majisto and forestman torsos or you could use the Peasants lego already supplied. Hope that helps! Cj (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: You wouldn't want one of these landing at your Airport!

Don't feel too bad; my Father once built outta my legos (as a kid) a big-ass (can I say ass on here?) plane that almost looked like one of those cargo planes with propellers. I think I have a photo of the model stuffed into my boxes, so if I can dig (...) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Re: Villiager Mini-Figs?

(...) As CJ said, SW characters make excellent peasants (Qui-gon, old Obi-wan...) Jeff Stembel has a great minifig site with peasants among other things: (URL) you don't have to call yourself a newbie.... ;-) (26 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)
