Re: EMD DD40 almost done - pics up!

Thanks for the comments. Yes, Larry, I was so excited that I forgot to put the link up, but you were very correct in figuring it was here: (URL) tighter curve has put a lot of restrictions on me. Although the loops I have running right now are (...) (25 years ago, 20-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: [CW] Domain Name, etc.

(...) I thought about doing this and thought about how and what I could do for it. I think doing this over e-bay would give us the most publicity ... something like a character put together and a little text. I will set up a form for this which will (...) (...) Yeah ... my thinking has been on that as well. My original plan was to put a few figs on e-bay with a link back to the site - pretty much a $.25 ad for the site;) But since we're not quite where we want to be, this has been delayed. The main (...) (25 years ago, 20-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Hmm, I think you are little ahead of your time. Perhaps in another five years when LEGO releases larger radius track, you'll be on to something. Building to scale should be as much about functionality as well as meeting exact scaling. But I leave (...) (25 years ago, 20-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Speed surges

(...) Well, my trains are usually long enough and massive enough that I see effects on the locomotives. You can hear the motors suddenly starting to work harder as they come into a curve, and surge forward as they come out of it. (the momentum of (...) (25 years ago, 20-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Speed surges

I've noticed this as well. At the GATS show today, I asked others to observe it just to make sure it isn't just me. I notice it mostly when the train goes through an s-curve. The front of the train doesn't surge, but the back does. I think Larry is (...) (25 years ago, 20-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)
