Small, Red and Fast. —Jean-Pascal Rignault
It's Small. It's Red. And it's Fast. Very Fast. Pancanol Industries are proud to introduce the SRF : (URL) Post moderation folder : (URL) Enjoy! JP. (20 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX) !

Re: Small, Red and Fast. —Steve Runnels
(...) That's cool, nice smooth lines. I like how the landing gear when retracted is completely out of the way. That's one thing I completely stink at, is landing gear. (2 URLs) Only nitpick would be to get rid of the orange. --(URL) SteveR> (20 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Small, Red and Fast. —Jean-Pascal Rignault
Thanks Steve, (...) Keep it smooth! (...) I'll try to remove the orange, see if it looks better. But I like these small color drops, I think it's more eye-catching. JP. (20 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Small, Red and Fast. —Douglas R. Clark
(...) I like it. Looks like a cool hover racer or luxo-sports car. Kinda looks like muscle car-ish and ferrari-ish at the same time. I like the schleim building and the use of the arched window pieces. Front end looks a bit flat though, but that (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Small, Red and Fast. —Jean-Pascal Rignault
Thanks Douglas! I think most of the parts used in this one come from the Air Balzers set : the archer windows, but also the canopy and the 2x6x1 red slopes. "schleim building"??? I saw that schleim word before, without understanding it. Any meaning? (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Small, Red and Fast. —Douglas R. Clark
(...) See (URL) I believe that schleim is rough English=>German translation of the word snot which we all know as SNOT (studs not on top) building. You could have approriately cross-posted your creation to lugnet.build.schleim as well. I also agree (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Small, Red and Fast. —Jean-Pascal Rignault
(...) I went to see it, there is a post / a thread telling the full and original story about "schleim", it's so nice, so funny! Back on the orange, as you say i could try the chrome tiles, it would match nicley with the red, but, dunno, with the (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Small, Red and Fast. —James Wilson
Sweet! I like the overall shape, and the landing gear are a big plus. I only wish we could see "under the hood." James Wilson Dallas, TX (20 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Small, Red and Fast. —Jean-Pascal Rignault
Thanks James! What do you mean by "under the hood"? Construction pics? Let me know, I can easily take some and post them if you wish. Cheers, JP. (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Small, Red and Fast. —Daniel Rubin
(...) This is very nice, great use of curves. I think it has just the right level of greebliness, though I am a bit of a minimalist. I like the landing gear, I did something very similar for landing gear on something that I haven't photographed yet, (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Small, Red and Fast. —Jean-Pascal Rignault
(...) Thanks Dan. Agree with you about the greebles, I am not a big fan of those. A little bit is a nice touch though. (...) JP. (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Small, Red and Fast. —Ley Ward
(...) Hey JP. This was going to be a 'me-too' post because I really like this SRF of yours. But, I actually like the orange,(1) so it looks like I've wandered out of 'me-too' territory. In fact I'd like to see the orange grilles extend up the hood (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Small, Red and Fast. —Jean-Pascal Rignault
(...) You're so right about the racing stripe! I wish I could have made an orange stripe going from the front to the canopy, but unfortunately I don't have any 1x1x1 orange piece.... :-( (...) Peace and 1x1x1 orange plate... JP. (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Small, Red and Fast. —Ley Ward
(...) Ah, but I was thinking of 1x2 grille tiles like the one on the front, which inspired the idea. That would make an excessively cool 3-D triple racing stripe. I haven't reverse engineered your design yet, so I don't know how that would work... I (...) (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Small, Red and Fast. —Jean-Pascal Rignault
(...) Hmmm, not sure I could do it... (...) Houla! That's a tough one you're asking here! Litteraly it should be something like "Crampon pas sur le dessus" (CPSLD, not easy to say...). "Crampon pas vers le haut" (CPVLH, same problem). Nothing really (...) (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Small, Red and Fast. —Jean-Pascal Rignault
Oops! I just found out that SNOT really has a meaning as itself, something like mucus. So in French you can try "morve", maybe "mollard". JP. (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

French schleim (was Re: Small, Red and Fast.) —Ley Ward
(...) Hi JP, I'm glad you cleared that up. I looked up 'crampon' and got worried in the context of snot, and then I realized it was about the studs. I think 'morve' is perfect, not just because it is snot/schleim, but because it leads to (...) (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

Re: Small, Red and Fast. —David Laswell
(...) You don't need that. Just figure out a way to attach a 1x6 tile (2x in Bounty Hunter Pursuit, btw) on top of the forward fuselage. You've clearly got the spacing figured out or you would have been able to attach the air intakes, so all you'd (...) (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
