"The LEGO Group" or "The LEGO Company"? —Brian Kendig
Just a small question as I edit the Wikipedia article on LEGO ("(URL) exactly, is the difference between The LEGO Group and The LEGO Company? Is the Company owned by the Group? Or did the Group change its name to the Company at some point? Or what's (...) (19 years ago, 8-Mar-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) There have been discussions here before about that very topic. A quick search turned up this ((URL)) for example. Also try here ((URL)) for some words straight from the company's mouth.    To add to the confusion... I emailed Lego through the form on their web site, and asked: "What is the difference, exactly, between The LEGO Group and The LEGO Company? Would you please give me a specific definition of what each term refers to?" The (...) (19 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: "The LEGO Group" or "The LEGO Company"? —Jake McKee
(...) You'd think :) Actually, the background comes down to legal and tax issues. As I understand each country office/branch is a separate "company". So in Billund, it's LEGO A/S. In Enfield, it's LEGO Systems, Inc., etc. I don't know the specifics (...) (19 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)
