Hello Western fans,

Welcome Jackie!!!

My name is Jackie (1504), a new member of Lugnet.  I only bought my first
three Western sets a few months ago from Lego.com (the three re-release of
Fort Legoredo, Sheriff's Lockup and 6763(Red Indians, forgot the name)).
After I constructed the Sheriff's Lockup, I fell in love with this theme and
bought Gold City Junction and Bandit's Secret Hideout subsequently.  They
are all very cool.  Too bad when these Western sets first released, I was in
my dark age (from 1990 to 2000) didn't have chance to buy it earlier.

It is a very nice series.  I think the Gold City Junction should have been
included in the mix of re-releases due to the fact of the general store.
I also wished they also put out some of the smaller sets like you mention
below.

Apart from the above, I have also bought Bandit's Wheelgun and Covered
Wagon, both are excellent!

I agree!!

Comparatively I love the Cowboys sets more than Red Indians, though both are
cool!

I think the general parts usage on the Indian sets is very much decreased.
The Teepees are nice and unique to that series, so in that respect it
might be worth looking into.  The Tribal Chief that they released along with
the other Western sets is very nice, nice black hand axe, horse, headdress,
black spear, shield, and bush all make this set worthwhile getting.

P.S. apart from Western themes, I also collect Castles (incl. Ninja),
Adventurers and Pirates.

Me Too!!!  :)  (I also collect some trains, town, mindstorms...about the
only theme I don't collect (from the classic system line-up) is space.
The reason why I don't collect is not from dislike but from relative
unavailability of the classic sets at a reasonable price.  I had a set of
spacemen, a space craft (both in a value pack), and a Ice Planet 2002 set
(another from a 2 in 1 value pack).

P.S.2 I live in Hong Kong and there are not much Lego fans here. Hence I am
very glad to meet all other Lego fans in Lugnet. Bravo!!

Nice to meet you all.

Great to meet you from Hong Kong.
