Thanks for the latest round of photographs Jon. I meant to post a praise
after the first set. Ever since first starting to build my Confederate
troops a few months ago I've been eager to stage a battle scene. I actually
want to attempt a stop motion animation scene of a charge. Before I do that
though I need a few more soldiers - but from the Union side. Between
Brickbay and Rock Raider sales I've been able to increase my Rebel company
size to about 45 troops since I last posted pictures (see below). I've only
got about a half dozen Yankees to whup up on though so that ain't hardly no
challenge at all.
I think it's great that the interest in Civil War LEGO seems to be getting a
little bit of a revival in recent times. It's helped to expand my overall
interest in the Wild West theme in general.
One last tip about outfitting CW era mini-figs. My local KB Toys was having
a clearance of the Dino-Adventurer small sets for $2.99. One of these is
"Mike's Swamp Boat" which includes a brown kepi cap and a mini-fig torso
that looks fairly 19th century (vest over 3 button long sleeve shirt with
sling shot stuck in belt). I think this torso works well for support
civilians - wagoneers, cooks, etc.
In case anyone missed my post last month, here again are my pics of the
beginning of my "army":

| Greg, I think your pics are sweet, I was out of the country so I missed them the first time. What do you do with all of the left over Rock raider parts? The heads are useless, except the scowling bearded guy, because they've got mic's on their (...) (24 years ago, 20-Apr-01, to lugnet.western)

| Alright folks, after assessing the damage inflicted during their last failed charge on the Confederate cannon emplacement, the Union soldiers went back to camp and got out their Wacky Tack (commonly used to affix lego posters to the walls of their (...)
