  Re: FOTY

(...) Well Jon, I did cross international lines for the sole purpose of buying Lego. From here in Plattsburgh, NY it is about a 1 hr. drive to get to Montreal. Crossing the border back into the U.S. was quite an interesting experiance though... (...) (23 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.western) !!

Nate, This is a tremendous find, how far did you have to drive to get to Montreal< If you crossed state or international lines for the sole purpose of getting Lego, then you my friend are the man! Jon (...) (23 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.western)

Re: FOTY (You Lucky Son of a Gun!)

(...) Thanks for the compliments Greg. I got a chance to scoot across the border again this weekend and picked up another 23 #6706. I think I wiped the store out this time. They didn't seem to believe they had anymore in the back. This brings the (...) (23 years ago, 10-Apr-02, to lugnet.western)

Re: FOTY (You Lucky Son of a Gun!)

(...) Congratulations Nate on your find. I'm certainly envious of the good fortune that allows you to scoot across the border in order to cheaply increase your troop strength. I was browsing through BrickShelf last night and saw some of the fruits (...) (23 years ago, 9-Apr-02, to lugnet.western)

  Quest for the West…

Hi, I'm about to purchase a Fort Legorado. And no, not the new 2002 version #6762. (URL) talkin’ the old-skool original issue. The 1997 #6769! (URL) I've got a question? ¯¯¯...¯¯¯ As I've noticed before, and as Richie Dulin pointed out, there’s an (...) (23 years ago, 9-Apr-02, to lugnet.western, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

  FOTY

This may be one of the single greatest finds of my LEGO collecting Career. Following a tip from a kind soul who emailed me and told me the location of several 6706 Frontier Patrol ((URL) I went up to Montreal, Quebec and found a gold mine. Sitting (...)   Re: ?Best Price 6762 Fort Legoredo?

(...) Nope, The TRU catalogue in Canada states that the Western Sets are a Toys R' Us Exclusive. Compare their prices to Wal-Mart or Superstore it's indeed a rip-off. (23 years ago, 24-Mar-02, to lugnet.western)

Re: ?Best Price 6762 Fort Legoredo?

(...) Oops, I wasn't paying attention and didn't change where I wanted my message to go. Oh well. I really wasn't intending to post to lugnet.western, even though I like western sets very much. I also noticed that the sherrif sets have 2 black (...) (23 years ago, 24-Mar-02, to lugnet.western, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: ?Best Price 6762 Fort Legoredo?

(...) NOT SO!!! You forgot the GST for ordering from Shop@Home. They are a registered "tax collector" of the Canadian Government. You still need to calculate .07 additional on the 99.00 plus the $12 (shipping) in US currency. BTW, were you still (...) (23 years ago, 24-Mar-02, to lugnet.western)

  ?Best Price 6762 Fort Legoredo?

Just a question? (URL) about to drop *$172.50 Canadian on a 6762 Fort Legoredo. I know this is comparably cheaper than buying from Shop@Home, but does anyone know if a better price exists. I don’t really wanna take my chances and wait till T‘R’Us (...) (23 years ago, 24-Mar-02, to lugnet.western, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.general)

Re: Fort Legoredo Spotted in TRU Metrotown

(...) It's actually a really fun set. There are several little traps over on the bluff part, pluss you get lots of accessories, animals, two horses, the canoe, seven figs (all the Indian figs). I got mine for much less on e-bay, but the rereleased (...) (23 years ago, 6-Mar-02, to lugnet.western, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Fort Legoredo Spotted in TRU Metrotown

(...) I thought that Rapid river village is kinda over priced though. I think it was nearly $100 for a bunch of tepees and burps. I personally would rather buy the Fort. My thought here is that the Indian stuff never sold because the West Coast (...) (23 years ago, 5-Mar-02, to lugnet.western, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Fort Legoredo Spotted in TRU Metrotown

(...) Unfortunately I think so too. I really want a Hideout and about ten Frontier Patrols (cavalry army builder pack) to finish out my Western collection. Rapid River Village is really cool, BTW. Get this one to fill all your Indian needs. All the (...) (23 years ago, 5-Mar-02, to lugnet.western, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Fort Legoredo Spotted in TRU Metrotown

(...) Lol why they started to sell off the Indian ones first is mystery to me. They didn't appear to me to be big sellers. When I picked up my Sheriff's Lock up it seemed like 2 or 3 had already been purchased since I last checked on Friday. The (...) (23 years ago, 5-Mar-02, to lugnet.western, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: what new sets would you want?

(...) If I may respond to myself, I was just surfing around 1000steine.de and found this MOC: (URL) forgot the obvious, a passenger stagecoach. This would have three figs (driver and a man and a woman as passengers) and two horses. Bruce (23 years ago, 5-Mar-02, to lugnet.western)

Re: what new sets would you want?

I totally agree that a more domestic subtheme would be great. Look at the success of Oregon Trail computer game, I remember back in elementary school when the original came out and now they are up to about Version 26 or something. The cross between (...) In lugnet.western, Bruce Hietbrink writes: <Snipped> (...) Well, I do like this particular idea very, very much. One of the things I'd like to do (under "Town" theme) would be a farm, and it would be a lot cooler if it had animals (cows, pigs, hens, (...)   what new sets would you want?

Hi all, In the very unlikely (IMO) event that Lego would release new sets, what would you look for? Mostly I would like a wider variety of townspeople (including women) and daily life stuff. On this last, the general store in Gold City junction (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.western)
