You could always replace the 9v track over the chute with some older 12v rails then you wouldn't have the ties between them to stop the pieces, and since you're not needing to power the track at this point it shouldn't be a problem....of (...) | (...) Until you hit a curve (grin). Seriously though, going from 6 to 8 gives you an improvement in resolution of 33%, so you can get more detail in. But you'll be tempted to make it longer and the lego curves are too tight as it is. The (...) (15 years ago, 26-Dec-09, to lugnet.trains)

(the old gray track being easy to use for non powered yards...works like a charm, and fits at 8 wide between tracks...). I've had them at least 8 years (...)
