| | Where did the LEGO train history pages go?
|
| Looks like Ben's pages (referenced in the sidebar) on fgltc are no more? I just wrote an answer in Quora (URL) wanted to link to the history... I think there was an archive on the ngltc.org pages but that site now is reported by Google as unsafe. (...) (13 years ago, 20-Oct-11, to lugnet.trains)

| | LEGO Train set instructions
|
| A long time ago in a galaxy... well, anyway, I think Brickshelf had set instructions (is that right or was it Peeron?) and before they took them down I grabbed all the ones I knew about that had anything to do with trains. If anyone wants some or (...) (13 years ago, 10-Oct-11, to lugnet.trains)

| | Re: shroud for train motor wheels
|
| Great work guys! The work and discovery by Jeremy, Dave, and Steve shown below inspired me to try a similar shroud for non-motorized 9v train wheels. As 9v volt wheel housings are exactly 6 studs wide, the edge-to-edge solution shown below is wider (...) (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

| Well... since Rob seems to have achieved his goal of breathing some life into .trains I'll copy this here too. There was a time when LEGO released books of ideas, when trains were a flagship property, when a LEGO license was something you used to (...) (13 years ago, 23-Sep-11, to lugnet.trains, FTX) !

| I figured that I'd post a very large picture here since they are not allowed to be posted on a lego forum that I will not mention... (URL) Did I mention how much I enjoy the new red Cargo Train? The ascetic look of the train is very good. Its (...) (13 years ago, 21-Sep-11, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

| | Signals: a new design, for everyone to build
|
| As a follow-up to Thomas Burger's signal-design: herewith a modern one, as seen on the railwaystation from Nijmegen-the Netherlands. I've build it (compleet in black), but the real-life-Lego pics come tomorrow. Low batteries... :-( This one follows (...) (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)
