you'd need to deal with the (...) etc. Only if you want the train to stop in the tunnel. IR (can) have good propagation, my IR remote for my stereo works fine bounced off the wall, but it has to be pointed in somewhat the right direction (1 bounce (...) OK... one of my recent projects in upgrading my 2800 page Unofficial LEGO Sets/Parts Collectors Guide to an expanded 3700 page guide (free to current owners of DVD or DVD download of the guide)... is expanding the train chapters (Blue Track 4.5 and (...)   Quality problem issue
 
Hi, Today I've received three Santa Fe engines. (URL) of them were filled with some pieces of paperboard and five creator-like bags (standard multicolored bricks). I do not think LEGO will be switching rail style or the voltage (the gauge is the same). While the switch in voltage is confusing, the switch in rail style makes alot of sense. I have a 12V train and a couple of 9V trains. The 12V trains are (...) (26 years ago, 30-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  12v motor in 9v trains - how?
 
Hi, I wondered how, or even if, people have put 12v motors into 9v trains. The motors themselves are almost identical in build but the 9v motors have those side pieces and the wheels are slightly bigger - very noticeable when you put a 12v plain (...) (21 years ago, 31-Mar-03, to lugnet.trains)

Err...um...in some ways it is a tough question in other ways it is an easy question, and of course the answer is that it depends. What if 9v trains went away... I recall that for the 9V line, it has primarily been such that both a Freight and a Passenger set has been available at all times. Of course, the 4559 was supposed to be both, but that is another issue. The 4565 is due to be retired after this year, (...) (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)
