Personally I would doubt early 2001: Lego gets faster, but I suppose we have to
wait till summer at least.
The only better story (just kind of rumor) I have recently heared told we will
get a none-4560-like new train in colour green. Sorry to tell, but I can't give
any more information on that topic, but I personally do believe in this small
rumor. And please believe me: THIS IS NOT MY NEW APRIL FOOL JOKE FOR 2001.

I would agree with that. You are 250 millions Americans, and we are just 80
million Germans, so our community is smaller. But what is more important:
Germany has maybe as much internet connections as you have had 3 years ago in
the US. Maybe you are long enough online, to remember how small the US
community was in 1997.... I think the German community will really grow on for
the next years.
www.1000steine.de has had a traffic of more than 1.5 million pageviews in
November 2000 (if I remember it right). So we are working hard on it. ;-)

Yes definitely most AFOLs around here are in trains. There are some castle fans
and a few classic space fans around, but I actually do not know about too much
mechas for example.
Another difference might be, that here are quite a lot of fans of "historic"
Lego, like these two sites (surftip, but not train related):

| For all German challanged (like myself) give this a try! I just found it at lunch, a tip from a friend. Alta Vista will translate web sites, e.g. German to English! | Ben, Thanks for giving me the whole picture! I recall your original posting in lugnet.trains about the points issue, so I figured the 1000steine forum message I found was part of the larger "points & crossings picture." Early 2001 should prove to be (...) (24 years ago, 20-Dec-00, to lugnet.trains)
