We actually didn't buy a fire resistant cloth, my wife had it treated at a
local dry cleaners.  The national show required it of us before we could
display last summer.  I don't know why we never really have problems with
people destroying the layout.  Most of the kids touch it, but few actually • try
to move anything.  Most of the destruction is done by a kid with his head • to
close to the track looking at the layout when the train comes.

I never pick up the jkelly69 address anymore, so if you email hit the
jkelly3@yahoo.com account.

John,

How high off the ground is the track on y'alls layout? Since ours is just at
30" on plywood the little one seem to have no trouble reaching up and
touching. It's not the older kids (4-12) but the wee ones (2-3) that seem to
want to touch and pick things up. (including my 3 y/o) But we did find at
the last show that since we had a area the kids could interact some (drive a
train) that they were less touchy of the rest of the layout.
