Hi All, I'm using a different name for this new post: "LMC - floor plan", so that the new posts don't get lost in the Facebook like chatter! ;) I'll use "LMC - subtopic" when I move to new posts that aren't follow-ups. Here's a link to Brickshelf (...) (13 years ago, 4-Feb-12, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LMC - floor plan —Larry Pieniazek
(...) In your initial post you spoke of some walls getting insulation and some not. What's your criteria there? Thanks. (13 years ago, 4-Feb-12, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LMC - floor plan —Steven Barile
(...) Hi Larry, Great question. Simple criteria, the exterior walls that are not already insulated. I may insulate the interior wall between the build room and layout room as well. Since I'll be heating with space heaters and mostly in my build room (...) (13 years ago, 6-Feb-12, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LMC - floor plan —Chris Magno
(...) ya know, After doing some research I am going to have to recind my last statement. I think that New York wont stand a chance, and that really its going to be the Patriots all the way till 2013. Oh crap - I did it again. Sorry for taking the (...)         Re: LMC - floor plan —James Trobaugh
Hey Steve, You might want to consider some double doors in the wall behind the garage rollup door. This would allow for large items to be moved in and out of the display room with out a lot of issues ( like going around corners ). I can imagine if (...)          Re: LMC - floor plan —Steven Barile
(...) Hey James (long time...) Originally I planned on double doors. In fact a coworker just today mentioned the same, but with a twist. I have windows in the garage door and to let the natural light in, he suggested double French doors. I don't (...) (13 years ago, 6-Feb-12, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LMC - floor plan —Matthew J. Chiles
(...) Steve- Watch out for that natural light - I have found that UV light is a huge contributor to yellowing of the brick. Maybe it isn't such a problem in newer brick, but I got quick yellowing of Lego with UV light from the barn layout when I was (...) (13 years ago, 7-Feb-12, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LMC - floor plan —John Neal
(...) At our Halloween events last year, we discovered that trans-neon green (anti-freeze color) bricks glow wickedly under black lights! Trés cool effect! Just another thing to make you go, "hmmmmm". (URL) JOHN (13 years ago, 8-Feb-12, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: LMC - floor plan —Ted Godwin
(...) Modern UV protective treatments on windows should reduce that problem significantly either built-into new windows or in after-market applications. (13 years ago, 8-Feb-12, to lugnet.trains)
