  Re: TCLTC Style Track Details

(...) When I get a hold of one I can say for sure, but IIRC, we did nothing about that area, and it didn't seem to matter that much. But just thinking about it-- what can one do? More later. JOHN (19 years ago, 6-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: WRONG Rung

I agree in this case. The one case where the new handle seems superior to the old is if you want to attach it to two 1x1 plates with clip vertical to make a hinge point. With the old handle you clip one clip to the center, which makes a half-stud (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) I tend to agree in that example, though I have just swapped out some black old ones for dark red new ones on my Duchess of Sutherland (along with the addition of dark red 1x1 plates with light clips from the mini ARC Starfighter).   Re: TCLTC Style Track Details

(...) A number of great new renderings by UR can now be seen on Brickshelf. As I said before I like these locos a lot. Please if possible publish the dat-file for the Crocodile! Mattias (19 years ago, 6-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.de)

  TCLTC Style Track Details

A while ago, some were asking for details as to how we "detailed" our tracks, especially the curves and points. I had a lot of free time this weekend, and I decided to get some pics taken (unfortunately, all of our points are still packed at the (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Samsonite 118 Train set

(...) Ben, thanks for the correction. So, FAO Schwarz marketed the 116 in 1968 and Sears marketed the 118 in 1969. There may have been other retailers too but at least we know about those two. Eric (19 years ago, 6-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

(...) Hallo Ben! A couple of things..... The exchange rate in 1968 was about DM 4,00 = $1.00. I know that very well because I was 15 years old visiting relatives in Germany in 1968.
