I love how you always try to stick to real minifig scale and cover your MOCs
with countless little details.
About the dry ice: Isolating the dry ice with any material like felt or cotton
should protect the plastic.
I dont want to sound pesimistic but I believe that this bucket wont work quite
right for the intended effect. The smoke that you get from dry ice is somewhat
heavier than air and will spill from the bucket. If the contact between the
bucket and the smokepipe is not fairly closed, it the smoke will fall inside the
body rather than move up the smokestack.
Give it a try anyway...
If it doesnt work, try a taller container.
