(...) That looks good. The one thing that stands out is the ladder. You make an effort to recess it at the bottom, but not at the top. Did you try doing it at the top? You would have to put a tile between the roof and the ladder, so I don't know how (...) (21 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

Hello, Last weekend, MonLUG participated in it's fourth Montreal area train show. And what a great weekend! :-) It was our best layout ever, we were as popular as ever with visitors, Jean-Marc Détraz from NovaLUG dropped by for a visit and we were (...) Gak! I don't think there are any decided 'standards' out there yet, nor even any 'recommended practices', but looking at the image, a full 9 bricks is far too high for a hi-cube car. I've seen plenty of hi-cube boxcars, both auto parts and (...) (21 years ago, 12-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

After modeling the (impossible-to-build) 7-wide passenger coaches with hinge shovel scoop bits, I stuck to 7-wide for a go at a Swiss Re 4/4. The Swiss Re 4/4 is characterized by a steeply sloping complex angled face and large front and side-front (...) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)
