  Re: BoxCar

(...) Thanks. I am pleased with that effect as well. (...) I don't have any of that part, but I do have 4 of these: (URL) I will have to give that a try tonight. Thanks for the suggestion. :) -J +---...---+ Jason Spears MichLUG - (URL) MOCpage - (...) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: BoxCar

(...) I really like the ribbed effect for the sides, and especially the roof. Looks really good like that. Have you tried it with a sliding door ((URL) Do you have any such doors to try it with? I think that would look even better. Peter (21 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

  BoxCar

Well I sat down last night and put a few ideas that had been bouncing around in my head into the brick. The result, my first train car, well the first that I am sorta proud of anyways. Boxcar - (URL) was loosily based on James Mathis' creation here: (...) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.trains, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Pictures from MonLUG & ParLUGment Train and Town Layout

Well, I finally have all the pictures and movies posted to Brickshelf from our Train and Town Layout this past weekend in Montreal. I had a problem trying to get them all into a single directory, so I had to break them up into a few directories. (...)   Re: High Speed Diesel Locomotive

(...) Oh ick! Well I guess I'll wait till I see the parts in person, but my first reaction is to say they ruined two perfectly good parts. :-\ I suppose the remake of 2873 isn't *that* bad, or it could have it's uses, but I just don't get 2582... (...) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: High Speed Diesel Locomotive

(...) I went back and looked at some of the other pictures and it looks like several of the parts have been retooled to use click hinges. Unfortunately, part 2873 ((URL) has been changed and it looks pretty ugly. The box art for 4512 shows the new (...) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 7wide Passenger Car Roof uses Shovels

(...) Is that 'shovel' element in any of the new "Designer" sets? Very cool idea, James (as always!)... And, it would oh so easy to convert to 8-wide! ;-) JohnG, GMLTC (21 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

  High Speed Diesel Locomotive

The more that I look at the box art for the new passenger train ((URL) the more that I dislike the engine. Maybe it is the bird beak front, or the canopy windscreen (does it come with an ejection seat?) I just noticed that the sides are only four (...) (21 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Some industrial structures - work in progress

Okay. I didn't realize that part was available in bricks. I have some plates in that color off the Republic Gunship and a Racers set. Spiffy. -Stefan- (...) (21 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: LLBillund Train Piece Question

It's interesting to note the 1x2 bricks that form the walls of the circular depression in which the train sits. They are bent to form a curve in the same manner that Daniel Siskind 'discovered' with his boat hulls. Seth. (...) (21 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 7 wide Passenger Car Roof uses Shovels

(...) Hi James, Hi Dirk, as supposed by Dirk I really loved the 7wide passenger cars. Not only because they are 7wide, but because of their great design. I really like the solution James found for the undercarriage. Perfectly done! Same with the (...) (21 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

7 wide Passenger Car Roof uses Shovels

Hi James, I really appreciated to see my hi-res pictures referenced by you. So it was very very useful to upload such big images... The idea to use this as a roof element is congenial. Hope you get enough of them! I'm sure that Ben Beneke will love (...) (21 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Working LEGO Clock Tower

  Re: Lego Train Operating Weekend

Hi fellas, So, anything further on this by any chance? Of particular interest at the moment would be just how much gear you had on hand.. boosters, throttles, jack panels, that sort of thing.   Re: 7wide Passenger Car Roof uses Shovels

I think you're certifiable, James! Wow, that's awesome!! I never would have thought to use that element in that way. Now, how are you going to find that many of them to make the model in the ABS? -Tim (...) (22 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)
