I agree with the sticker issue, however there is a fine line! I think stickers
are OK if they only represent a logo, numbering or words. I don't think using
stickers to mask colors and create stripes... is legit. In many of the model
railroad decal packs there is striping, and for painted HO models that's fine
but not for lego models. In fact I am sometimes disappointed with the stickers
that LEGO has made. For instance I really like the club car (including the
color scheme) but those bricks with the curved r,w,b stripe just rubs me the
wrong way. Certainly a quandary.

People here in LUGNET get miffed when you merely *cut* LEGO or use a non LEGO

Cutting bugs me a little, but I've seen some pretty cool things done
with cutting, especially in the area of minifig weapons.

Clone bricks?  Ick.

But stickers?  What is so sacrad about the pieces of paper and sticky
stuff TLG uses?  It isn't ABS, it doesn't really even show any real
Lego-like skill or anything.  They're pieces of paper with words
and/or graphics on them.  Nothing sacred about that, imo.

I've made some custom stickers myself and still want to do many more.
If Lego won't make stickers for us that say what we want them to say,
I'm all for making our own.

(...) I agree. When I think stickers I think text, numbers, maybe some type of display screen (possibly), or a logo. I even like the credit card billboards I've seen. (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)
