    Re: LEGOLAND trains —John Neal
LOL As if anyone would want to copy that crap that TLG uses at their parks! (At least in CA) Those *aren't* LEGO trains, but rather hybrids that would be scorned in a *pure* group like this. Just because an employee of TLG built it, it doesn't mean (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

        Re: LEGOLAND trains —David VinZant
Well John I would want to copy the master peices they have made. I like the creativity that went into making realalistic designs of trains. I am sure someone at LEGO had to design the electronics, and mechanics that went into those trains. I am sure (...) (25 years ago, 19-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

        Re: LEGOLAND trains —Larry Pieniazek
How many angels can dance on the head of a pin? I'd say something is pure LEGO(r) if Joe average consumer can go buy it at a store or direct from TLG and it comes in a LEGO box. Stuff that someone made in a back room explicitly for Miniland that is (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

        Re: LEGOLAND trains —John Neal
(...) Where do you draw the line between using LEGO and non LEGO parts? I can understand using non LEGO internal devices such as computers and whatever else it takes to automate things. Fine. At least Miniland is constructed *entirely* out of (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

        Re: LEGOLAND trains —Mike Stanley
(...) Cutting bugs me a little, but I've seen some pretty cool things done with cutting, especially in the area of minifig weapons. Clone bricks? Ick. But stickers? What is so sacrad about the pieces of paper and sticky stuff TLG uses? It isn't ABS, (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

         Re: LEGOLAND trains —Steven Barile
I agree with the sticker issue, however there is a fine line! I think stickers are OK if they only represent a logo, numbering or words. I don't think using stickers to mask colors and create stripes... is legit. In many of the model railroad decal (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

         Re: LEGOLAND trains —Mike Stanley
(...) I agree. When I think stickers I think text, numbers, maybe some type of display screen (possibly), or a logo. I even like the credit card billboards I've seen. (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

(...) At least year's 25th anniversary truck tour display, my wife spotted a Megablok 2x4 stuck on the large birthday cake model.
