  Proposal: a TOWN building contest!

In the spirit of the recent Classic Space building contest, I'm proposing (and am willing to organise) a building contest for us TOWN junkies. I have some ideas of how we can do it (and I've set up a placeholder page on LUGNET for it, same as Todd (...) (24 years ago, 31-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.town, lugnet.trains)

  Re: New S@H Catalog

(...) Maybe some of us should focus on entering some more detailed, hi-end projects. If anything it will give TLC a better idea about what the advantages are of building larger, more adult, locomotives. Also, if were to enter one of my locomotives, (...)   Re: My Latest MOC-- a Chateau

John, Great job on the Chateau, I stumbled across it this morning on Brickshelf and was very impressed with the ornate details around the doors and windows. Is it gray or white?   My Latest MOC-- a Chateau

This MOC is a departure for me in a couple of ways. Normally, I build trains and train related stuff. After having been to LLC this past summer, I became inspired to create a building that had miniland detail in it, but was minifig scale. So I built (...)   Re: New S@H Catalog

(...) Well everyone, I consider my designs to be simple enough for LEGO to gobble up. But I too would like some recognition for my designs, if LEGO should incorporate these 'ideas' into future Train sets. But I agree that 'It is our responsibility, (...) (...) <butts in> No way! Even though I don't own *any* train sets, look out for the Raw Material Shifter in the 13-17 category. I don't really think I need those unimportant pieces like wheels or track.. I've found a way around them. (24 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

From IKEA (only in Europe) a shelf 79cm x 9.5 cm just the right size for train track - 6 pieces. The shelf can be joined to go right round the room. The IKEA name is "STRIPA". David (24 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.trains)
