I'm just curious when was the last know date a Metroliner was available for purchase as a retail store or S@H? I would guess around the year 1995-1996? Does anyone have a more specific date or any stories revolving around looking for (or finding) (...) (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

I have been placed on the waiting list for the NMRA Convention in San Jose. The show will take place Friday, August 4th through Sunday, August 6th. (...) Well, actually, if you battery or RCX power your 9V motor, you can run it on 4.5V track... If I was converting from 4.5V to 9V, I would just abandon all the 4.5V track, and go all 9V track. The 4.5V motors should run just fine on the 9V track (...) (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Yeah, the middle technic pulleys are offset to the track around corners, but all sit dead center in straight-aways. I originally had rubber Technic belts from axel to axel to keep all of the wheels in motion, but it caused too much friction (...) (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)
